Lucky Breaks Sports Cards — Local services in Vancouver

I’ve been here twice. Just got into card collecting with my son. First time I was here great time and environment a small selection of soccer cards. Understandable though soccer isn’t as big as MLB or NBA cards. We bought about $100 worth including a binder. The lady let us select our own card packs out of the box which I thought was really cool it felt like I actually had a part in getting a signed card. Which we did in our first $3 one! When we came In the second time I spent about $60 this time we didn’t get to select the pack out the box the male picked it out of the box for us. As he was holding the packs we were going to buy he was also bending them. I wanted to at this point just not buy anything but my son was excited to get to unpack the cards. I don’t know if we are supposed to pick out our own cards like the first or not. I want to support small businesses but after everything that happed the second time felt less enjoyable. still debating whether to go back or not...

Went in on 03/25/2022. Jim wasn't in the store when I got there. Tanya helped me. I told her what I was looking for('70 and '71 Topps Baseball), and she handed me a pile of raw, un-sleeved cards. I spent about 20 minutes picking out cards, and as I was going through and selecting cards, Jim came back. He started pricing the cards one-by-one. I asked if he wanted me to return another time after he'd had a chance to price them. He said, "Yes, how about tomorrow?"

So, I returned the next day in the afternoon. He had not priced the cards. He did not have the cards that I had selected the previous day. He handed me a stack of '73 raw cards that were sitting on the counter and that I had no interest in. It was a very disappointing, disrespectful level of...

AWESOME HOBBY SHOP! We love this store, especially the owner, Jim. He is always super nice and goes the extra mile to talk with each customer. What's best about this place, is that if you have a question, or need to learn something about a card he may have or you want, he will help you. He is not there to take advantage of you, even though he is probably one of the most knowledgeable individuals in the business. His knowledge is priceless, and that in of itself is worth more than a blaster of Donruss Optics or Panini Select.
