About two weeks ago I had came in and ordered the Loco Moco. This was my first time eating here and in all honesty, I wasn't pleased with my dish too much at all. Couldn't really do much about it as I got it To go and was at work that day. My co worker had ordered another dish from there and neither of our entrees seemed like they were up to par. The beef had no flavor to it at all and the gravy was super salty. I added pepper and that helped a little bit. Ultimately I had three bites, an empty stomach and had wasted about $13. Little disappointed but I'm glad other people are having a good experience. Maybe there just needs to be more attention on the Togo orders? I don't know but I was not pleased. If I do come back, it would be a bit in the future but I'm not too sure. I was really excited to try it too so it's really too bad. The service was not bad at all though! May have just been a bad day....
Read moreOh, boy. I've been on the search for a really good Hawaiian barbecue spot in Vancouver because I always end up going to Portland for what I already know and like. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement and I wanted to like it because the photos looked really good, it had good reviews and the cashier was very nice. However, my shoyu chicken is incredibly dry, like barely edible. Mac salad is one of my favorite things about getting Hawaiian barbecue and I don't think I've ever tasted something so bland in my life. It literally tastes like air. I'm not sure how something with onions, carrots, green onions and mayonnaise can taste like nothing, but they have somehow accomplished this. This is the first time I've taken myself out to eat in a while because I've been on a budget and I'm so sad that this is is what I ended up with. I will be driving to Portland again for my Hawaiian BBQ...
Read moreWhere do I start?! Saw this little spot while out running errands so we decided to give it a try. Went in and it wasn't too busy, placed our order to go and we literally sat there for almost 30 minutes waiting for our order. A little annoyed that we had to wait that long but excited to hurry and get home so we can eat. Epic fail! The food was terrible! 1st thing that I always go for and is a staple with Hawaiian style plates is the Mac salad, this mac salad was runny and disgusting! Had absolutely no flavor, noodles were way over cooked and it was soggy/runny! Teriyaki chicken had no flavor and the kalbi ribs had an awful taste to it. But what really disappointed the most was the loco moco. The burger patti was still a little raw and lacked any kind of flavor. Serving size was so small but our bill for 3 plates was over $50! Never going back...
