I have bought 2 products from Reeds in the last 2-4 years. A speed-queen washer and a Melee dishwasher. The Meile is still under warranty and it is total crap. I wouldn’t wish this appliance on my worst enemy. Jerry, the salesman told it it was the best dishwasher on the market and would seriously last me 20 years or more, but as i sit here writing this, it has broken down 4 times in the last 7 months—- and before that—— it didn't clean the dishes. It’s the worst appliance I've ever had and I own rentals that i supply every kind of kitchen appliance so I have experienced my share. I use rinse agents, rinse twice before washing, use Finish detergent, and have babied this thing for the last two and it still broke. A corn kernel broke it last time. The Speed-queen hasn’t broken down, but its always giving me error messages and stopping mid-cycle and I find it the next day filled with water and have trouble shoot. I have an older speed-queen that has given me 15 years with no trouble. Shouldn’t Reeds keep up on the products they sell? Aren't they supposed to be experts????? I have heard so many good things about Reeds over the years that i expected them steer me toward good products. When I called to complain about issued, i just here “Gee wiz, Ive never heard of that.” Wth? But when I looked up Meile reviews, they get 1.5 stars. I won't use Reeds again. They either don't know what they're selling or...
Read moreJust bought a Speed Queen clothes washer last night from the Ventura showroom. I was very impressed with the quality of Customer Service. I had a question about a replacement part after the lengthy 3 year warranty runs up, Tim, the owner, immediately called up his SQ representative, and answered my question in about a minute flat. $130 for a new timer, very reasonable. The purchase price of the washer itself was below what I had seen anywhere else online, very impressive when you factor in their overhead. $910 out the door. Tim and Simon were very knowledgeable on the product, Simon owns one himself. Although I choose to install it myself, the offer of $40 delivery and installation was very tempting, most places charge $100-150. I left with a good feeling as they are very genuine, not pushy staff. I highly recommend them, I will not purchase another appliance anywhere else in the future, wish I had gone there for other purchases in the past. I did 4 loads last night to catch up after my Kenmore HE died (2nd washer in 2 years, both HE), The Speed Queen was so quiet I had to make sure it was running! And I forgot to put the rubber feet on the bottom, and it's sitting on a stone floor, can't believe how quiet it is. Spin cycle is almost completely vibration free!!!! That was even with 8 pairs of jeans!!! Very stoked about my new washer. Worth...
Read moreNearly a month ago, my wife placed an order for the Bertazzuni induction range after being assured by Tim the store owner that the range was in stock with a dealer in Northern California and would be shipped within 30 days to 60 days. She paid the full price in advance. When she checked on the order 3 weeks later she was told by the sales clerk that it would be another 3 months for delivery! This came as a shock to us since there had been no communication from Tim about the delay. After my wife brought this to his attention, he promised to investigate and get back to her but so far there has been no communication. My wife googled this product and found that three online sellers offer it for immediate delivery. She even sent Tim the links but no response. To date there has been no explanation provided for this delay nor any attempt to remedy the situation and this person is the owner of the store! We are deeply disappointed at the poor communication and professionalism afforded us since we went to Reid’s in the anticipation of trustworthiness and reliability. When the owner of the store operates in this manner it is best that...
