The best there is in Ventura! This is a well-known hidden gem here. I asked a Walmart checkout clerk for the best Chinese in the area, and without missing a beat, she said, "China Kitchen!" I ran over there, and I cannot stop going there since. I love the orange chicken. But I also love the beef with broccoli, string beans with pork, juicy pork dumplings, sizzling rice soup, triple delight over the cripy noodles, and the house special chow fun (thick rice noodles). I recommend them all. The prices are reasonable. The service from Vivian is as good as any service can get.

Authentic food, user-friendly menu, real people that know their guests and treat them well. I tried to save a portion of my Kung Pao Chicken for later but it was just too damn tasty. Perhaps overlooked after the mall anchor BB&B closed its operation, China Kitchen is on point. The egg drop soup, wontons, mini shrimp and egg roll can all be had in the dinner package for the cost of a couple of Starbucks’ Ventis. Check them out!

Do not eat here, you been warned. Dirty dishes, just one terrible waitress, grease food, not cheap either, if you go, just take a look at the tea pot on the outside. I should have left when I saw that. She never came to see if we needed anything else, the only time she came 3 time on the row is to see if were ready to pay.

China Kitchen is excellent. I went for the first time for a late lunch with a coworker and was a little worried when we saw the place was empty. We have it a shot anyway and were extremely pleased with our meals. I don't know if everybody only shows up at noon or if word just hasn't gotten out how good the food here is, but the relatively inexpensive lunch specials we had were some of the best Chinese food I've had in Ventura county.

I had the sesame chicken with fried rice and a hot & sour soup. I grew a Chinese restaurant on the quality of their hot & sour soup decays it's not an easy thing to make with a good balance of flavors. Theirs is great. Not too sour, not too sweet, and not oily like many I've had elsewhere. The sesame chicken was lightly breaded with a sweet, but not too sweet, sauce, and the chicken itself was super tender and clearly of high quality. The fried rice was just right, as well.

I highly recommend giving China Kitchen a shot. Their prices and food quality are unbeatable, and the server was very friendly. I promise you will not be...

We've been going to this Chinese restaurant for close to 40 years---maybe more. When my kids were little this was their favorite place and they're both well over 40 now. Through all the changes in ownership (and restaurant names) it has remained the best Chinese restaurant in Ventura, and we like it as good or better as any Chinese restaurants we've been to across the country. It did have a little hiccup not long ago (in years)--not sure why. I assumed it was because of another change in ownership. When it slipped we stopped eating Chinese altogether because no other place compared to what it once was. Not long ago my son told me that our favorite Chinese place was "back," the food was great again--and it is. If you're like us and quit going because it seemed to be not as good as it once was, you can return---it's as good or better...

This dinner was one of the best I’ve ever had the aroma when I walked in the door was a combination of authentic Chinese food and the warmth of the cute little lady’s heart the atmosphere was great so many booths and Chinese art around the food simmered in my mouth and made me want to jump for joy finally the service was amazing the cute little lady brought us free rice and a fortune cookie if you want the taste of a homemade meals cooked by your Asian grandma right out of the kitchen and cooked from the heart this is the place to go it’s tasty, fresh, adorable, and loving so I promise you won’t be...
