I don't get the terrible reviews. I suppose everyone is entitled to their preference and opinion. So here goes mine . 17.99 is not expensive for an all you can eat buffet and there was not one thing I tried that I didn't like. Is the food piping hot? No is it warm yes are cold items cold yes. 17.99 will get you one plate of food at panda or a large quarter pounder meal at mcdonalds . The 26.99 they charge on the weekend is justified because they have oysters crab and sashimi . This buffet has tons of seafood options which is a plus for me a seafood lover and my husband who can only eat halal. Good luck to you getting all you can eat crab, oyster or sashimi cheaper 😜. If sea food is not your thing I can see how you can be disappointed. The seafood is not top tier quality but it's good tasted fresh and not the bad kind of " fishy".sushi is on par with any grocery store house made . Over all I think not only is the price justified but it's a bargain. Golden corral is trash compared to this dried out over cooked bland food in my opinion it was overcrowded and manager is rude. This is the golden corral oxnard location I'm referring to specifically. Put me off of all golden corrals . School cafeteria food plain...
Read moreI don’t usually write reviews, but our experience today was completely unacceptable. From the moment we arrived, the woman at the front—Kelly—was shockingly rude and unwelcoming. She treated us like an inconvenience, refused to answer basic questions, rolled her eyes, and spoke to us with open hostility. When I calmly tried to clarify something, she raised her voice and yelled at us in front of everyone. It was so loud and aggressive that my baby started crying from the stress.
To make things worse, we were refused entry even after providing documentation for our service dog. Despite what’s clearly stated on Apple Maps—that this location welcomes pets—we were turned away. Not only was this discriminatory, it was humiliating and completely unprofessional.
This wasn’t just bad service—it was aggressive and entirely inappropriate for someone working in hospitality. Kelly has no business in a customer-facing role, and if this is the standard the restaurant sets, it speaks volumes about the management.
We left feeling disrespected, upset, and genuinely shocked. I will never return, and I would strongly caution anyone—especially those with children or service animals—to stay far away...
Read moreI wanted to like it, was there opening week. I love Asian food and especially sushi and was excited about AYCE in Ventura. But the bottom line was the food was mediocre at best and pretty bad at worst. Maybe the best thing I had was the salmon sashimi, which was just ok. The worst thing was probably their raw oyster, which was absolutely awful and it’s a surprise to me I didn’t get sick after eating it.
The selection overall was also pretty limited compared to other Asian buffets I have been to. There is basically one counter for fried food, one for cold food, one for sushi, and a noodle fry station. Overall, things felt dirty and messy even thought the restaurant had only been open for a week!
It also felt pricy for what you get, and I was annoyed that I had to pay $9.99 for my 3 year old who literally ate just about a half a cup of chow mein.
Unfortunately we will not...
