HORRIBLE SERVICE!! If I could give ZERO STARS I WOULD!!! Iâve only been to this location TWICE and both times have been inexcusable. My boyfriend has been so sick the past few days I think he might have the flu and an eye infection since his eye is SWOLLEN SHUT and desperately needs care. The appointment I set was for 10:30 so he gets there ten minutes before the appointment with only one other patient in the waiting room. He finally gets put in a room 20 minutes later. He hears through the thin walls the other patient see the doctor and leave so he should be next. He also heard the nurse say he has eye pain and the doctor scoffedâŚshe DIDNâT EVEN MENTION he probably has the flu!! Then he hears more people start coming into the building and getting seen BEFORE HIM. Meanwhile heâs trying not to pass out is severely ill and canât see out of one eye! AND we had a 10:30 appointment! So after sitting in the room for 25 minutes he comes out and asks whatâs going on and why the doctor hasnât seen him and the receptionist very rudely replies to him. âThere were people here before you the doctor needs to see them firstâ When there CLEARLY WERENâT and you can HEAR people coming into the building and being seen already while he was sitting in a room waiting!! Needless to say he ended up leaving after she said that and on the way out she said âokay.. byeâ There was not trying to resolve the situation or any sort or compassion from her end. I even called the office myself to put in a complaint and she was rude to me! Tried to tell me that she told him the doctor was going to see him next when it doesnât matter! They SKIPPED OVER HIM! While heâs CLEARLY SICK!! How could you take people with lesser issues before someone who is so clearly in need of care!! She gave me the number for her manager which sent me to the billing department to a voicemail so iâm writing this now after TWO bad experiences.
The first time he went there was for kidney pain. They did a urine test and said he has blood in his urine but it âwasnât concerning.â Fast forward two emergency room visits later he has a 5MM KIDNEY STONE HE NEEDS TO GET SURGICALLY REMOVED. We will never be going back obviously but iâm still furious over this whole situation. I will be trying to contact the manager again to get his copay back. Beware if...
Read moreWe had a fantastic experience with Physician Assistant Rachel Hemeter at Skylands Urgent Care in Vernon, NJ, and I can't recommend her highly enough â especially if you're concerned about Lyme disease.
It was a saturday so our pediatrician office was closed. After a frustrating experience at another urgent care where my young son's classic early Lyme symptoms â including a bullseye rash, fever, and joint pain â were dismissed, we were fortunate to end up in Rachelâs care. While the wait to see her was about 45 minutes (we almost left after the long wait), it was absolutely worth it. Just plan ahead and bring a book or something to keep busy â her care is well worth the time.
Rachel immediately recognized the symptoms and started the appropriate antibiotic treatment without delay, following CDC and IDSA guidelines. She also followed up after the visit to let us know that due to his joint involvement, the course would be extended from 10 days to 4 weeks â a proactive and thoughtful adjustment based on updated guidance. When my son had a negative reaction to the initial antibiotic, Rachel worked with us the very next day to get a new prescription that he could tolerate.
Rachel Hemeterâs care was thorough, evidence-based, and compassionate. She took the time to follow up, adjust treatment promptly, and ensure we felt supported throughout. She made a stressful situation much more manageable, and Iâm incredibly grateful for her expertise...
Read moreThe ONLY reason why Iâm giving it âď¸ is because the front desk and kirsten PA was ok. I came in sick to where I have a soar throat, sinuses and a cough to where I taste blood and feel like I have no skin in my throat. EVERY single urgent care I have ever been to automatically does a Covid, flu and strep swab. They did nothing at all. âNurseâ didnât know how to take blood pressure said it was high which I have never had even when sick. Then Kirsten looks in my throat and says itâs not red u dont need antibiotics and I couldnât believe my ears. And we waited forever in exam room cause they wouldnât stop chatting outside the door.
And I work in medical and they have no idea what theyâre doing. I was a new pt and they didnât give me any paperwork. How do u know what Iâm allergic to and whereâs my hippa form? Not only that, she took pics of my insurance and license with a cell phone, um huge no no in medical. THEN we hear them talking and complaining about a patient that was being sent over as an emergency which they still had 30min to close and they kept bitching about how they canât believe theyâre coming. YOUR AN URGENT CARE U KNOW FOR URGENT MATTERS!!!! Never ever going again even if on my death bed. Update: I went to see my doc later on in the day and I have severe bronchitis that Iâm on 5-6 different...
