The Pizza Station is what every restaurant should strive to be. The moment we entered, we were greeted promptly and cheerfully. Once seated, our excellent server, Sharon, arrived bearing a basket of popcorn. Such a lovely surprise! Sharon handed us menus, and as we perused them we were struck by the immense variety of options. Our hearts were set on pizza and penne with marinara sauce, so that's what we ordered. Sharon brought us a basket of utterly delicious warm, golden brown, garlic-and-salt-dusted rolls, which were fabulous. Our meals arrived promptly, which is remarkable considering the obvious home-made excellence of the good and the care taken in presentation. My penne with marinara sauce was the best I've ever tasted. The penne was cooked perfectly al dente. The marinara sauce was bursting with cherry tomatoes and flavor. The pizza (I couldn't resist a slice despite my ample bowl of penne marinara!) was phenomenal. Our cheese pizza with no toppings was a symphony of flavor, its crust was perfection, and every bite was euphoria! It is obvious that Pizza Station uses the absolute finest ingredients in its culinary creations: olive oil that is at once light and savory, cheese that is as deeply flavorful as any I've ever tasted, tomatoes so fresh and juicy that they could have been gathered from a garden that very morning, and breath-takingly delicious bread--both in the pizza crust and in the exquisite rolls served before our meals. The atmosphere at Pizza Station is comforting and friendly. The staff--especially our server Sharon--are pleasant and friendly and attentive. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality and quantity of food served. I highly recommend Pizza Station for a fabulous meal at a great price with...
Read moreI ordered through DoorDash and the menu listed the kids’ penne vodka as coming with chicken and tomatoes — it even said it twice. When the food arrived, there was no chicken. I called the restaurant directly, thinking that would be the simplest fix since DoorDash support isn’t great.
First, I was told to call back in 5 minutes while they checked. When I did, they insisted I was wrong and that the dish doesn’t come with chicken. After I sent them a photo showing otherwise, the manager admitted I was right and asked what I wanted done. I said I’d be happy to come in the next day if they could just make the order correctly then, since my kids really liked it.
Instead, I was told I’d have to bring back the food my kids had already eaten in order to get a replacement, and then before I could respond, they told me to just contact DoorDash for a refund. I even offered to let them keep the money and just make it right, but they refused.
This was the last straw. The quality and service here have gone downhill for years, and now I understand all the bad reviews. Sadly, I don’t see this place lasting much longer if this is how they...
Read morePerfect place after a day of skiing or if you're staying in one of the hotels near Mountain Creek. Portions are absolutely massive for the price and the quality is great.
My recommendation is the fried Calamari appetizer and a Margarita pie as they are literally some the best that I've ever had. They use an interesting sweeter tomato sauce that is unexpectedly delicious in this particular style. Regular pie and french fries are pretty good but nothing too special. Cheese sticks are also really great, basically just a sliced up medium pie. Haven't tried other menu items yet but plan to make this a regular spot during winter seasons!
Reason for 4 stars is the inconsistency in service and in certain menu items. Dessert selection isn't too great and our molten lava cakes came out half cold and half warm for some reason. Ranch fries had a weird ratio where they were absolutely drowned in a clump of cheese and ranch sauce. Service is usually 5 stars but our last person seemed inexperienced. Also no alcohol available. Still highly recommend despite these few nit-picks! Significantly preferable over the...
