I'm only giving five stars because there is not an option for ten.

I visited Zahner's to get an outfit for my wedding in February 2020. In shopping for suits and dress clothes in the past I've often been disappointed by poor quality clothing and lackluster sales and tailoring service. I wanted more than a "box store experience", so I was looking for a small, family owned establishment that could give me some personal attention. On all counts Zahner's delivered.

I'm a jeans a t-shirt kind of guy, so buying fancy clothing puts me way out of my comfort zone. I walked into the store in work boots and a flannel shirt with really no idea what I was after other than a "black suit". Scott was so professional, helpful and not the least bit condescending of my fashion ignorance as I have experienced at other establishments. He struck a perfect balance of helping me understand what I was looking for without pushing me in any particular direction. That means that he listened to me, which is a customer-service-art that is increasingly hard to find these days. I even ended up buying an outfit for the rehearsal dinner as well as my wedding suit. I hadn't intended to buy two outfits, but Scott up sold me by asking me questions that I hadn't thought of, and patiently and gently offering suggestions. He held the RD outfit for me without a deposit for over a week while I thought about whether to buy it or not. Genuine, zero-pressure, service-driven salesmanship at its finest.

Once we had some garments picked out for the wedding and rehearsal dinner, Zahner's tailor Josh came into the picture. Josh is a huge part of the reason why my experience with Zahner's was so positive. I can best describe Josh as an old-world style craftsman. I know nothing about clothes, but I can identify and appreciate skill, workmanship and attention to detail and Josh possesses all three in spades. He strikes me as a man who is truly passionate about the quality of his work. And just like my experience with Scott, Josh really delivered with his attentiveness and service. He helped get everything fitting exactly to my liking. He would make adjustments, take my feedback, make more adjustments, and then go back to the first setting once I had seen that he was right in the first place. He did this happily and patiently over and over while we test fit each piece. Josh measured my feet and helped me pick out an exquisite pair of Alden shoes (made completely in the USA!) which are the best fitting shoes I've ever owned. When I came to pick up my complete order Josh even did some last minute adjustments on the spot for me to make sure I was completely satisfied.

You will pay more at Zahner's than at a typical chain store but don't let sticker shock dissuade you. You get so much more for your money here in the form of high quality garments and fantastic customer service from dedicated folks who are passionate about what they're doing. In my opinion it was worth every penny. These are the nicest clothes and shoes I have ever owned and the experience I had in purchasing them was the best I've ever had. My wedding was perfect and I credit Zahner's with making sure I felt comfortable and confident for the occasion. Thank you Scott!!...

My name is Noah and I'm not the Noah that works at Zahners just to get that out there, I've gone here 3 years in a row for Prom and other small things. Reading some reviews that are bashing them is absolutely mind blowing, I mean other 5 star reviews are right on because this place is truly a 5 star environment, they're all knowledgeable especially Noah who I've dealt with all three years. Every year he remembers who I am and what I wore the previous year and what I wanted to wear which this year was a Maroon Tux, it's a local business that's been around for a while because they have AWESOME customer service but it's not even like customer service when I was there it was almost like I was part of a family, the Zahners family, they won me over two years ago when I first came in and going forward from here anything I need whether it be a suit or something small like a tie I will only go to Zahners. They're extremely great people and if you're reading this review and on edge I'll tell you just go in and take a visit one day you will see what I am talking about. Hopefully I will have a reason to go back there soon they're just that good at...

I went into Zahner's today looking for a few outfits to wear to some upcoming job interviews. My body type doesn't usually fit well into most of the common styles and fits, so over the years I've avoided buying and wearing nicer clothes.

Scott took some measurements, and within a few minutes had me trying on a variety of different shirt and slacks combinations. Each one felt like it was made specifically for me. He explained that he carried well over 100 different "templates" and could pretty much find a great fit for anyone. From there he picked helped me choose and adjust different pieces until I had a few versatile sets of clothes that I could wear for my interviews or really any other occasion that called for nicer attire.

Throughout the process, I had a budget to stick to and despite leaving with incredibly high quality items, Scott was able to help me stick to it throughout the process. I can't imagine I'll ever be able to shop at a department store again now that I know how satisfying an experience buying men's wear can be. I highly recommend this store and will certainly be returning in the future to continue expanding...
