I'd give zero stars if I could. I went to Bill's to see if they could assist me in running new cable to install and hang a flat screen in my billiards room. I was greeted by a cantankerous older gentleman. I was upfront and told him that we did not need to buy a new TV, but we were looking for installation help. His mood quickly deteriorated and he became quite unpleasant. He asked what kind of TV we had planned on hanging and when I told him his response was, "when are you people going to learn that those TVs are not going to last!" He further continued that he wouldn't even look at the project unless we had a specific surge protection unit. Which I thought was reasonable until he retorted, "but I'm certain you won't want to buy it." Firstly, I was not quite sure who he meant by "you people." Secondly, his assumption lead me to believe he thought I was cheap. At any rate, I told him I would not be dealing with him any further and perhaps my spouse would be better suited to talk to him. He replied, "that's probably better."
While we tried to support a local business, the absolute lack of professionalism will keep us away for good. It is unfortunate considering the competition that Bill's must face from the big box stores in the area. It seemed his only competitive advantage from the Best Buys of the world was being able to sell TVs that "last." The reality is that these electronics are not meant to "last" and that any reputable big box store will offer a service plan to cover any means of replacement. As a consumer with an infinite number of options I refuse to be disrespected and insulted. I hope you can avoid the same type...
Read moreI had Bill's install my Starlink system. We have no option for wired internet and the T-Mobile gateway was not reliable and pretty slow. Justin came out and identified a great spot for the dish, then Jonathan and Cody did the install. Everyone was so polite and efficient. They didn't leave any debris or trash, and the installation is neat and tidy. I am very pleased. I chose Bill's because my neighbor did the same thing with them and they were very satisfied. I also chose to have them install the system because you cannot get hold of a human at Starlink and Bill's will be able to help me if I need any assistance. It's pricey, but...
Read moreI tried to surprise my mother with a new sound system in her house. I got an estimate from the company and was promised a date to for them to come while my mother was at work. I got a call that day saying they were unable to come because of other conflicting appointments. I rescheduled for 2 days later, I took time off of work to let the workers in. I was waiting for 3 hours after the time they were suppose to arrive not only did they not show up but they didn't call me I had to call them.
