This is my fourth time eating here. So far every visit has been consistently good with prompt service and quality food. This visit was for my cousins birthday and I must say there wasn't a single complaint amongst all 10 of us. Their use of authentic ingredients as well as their ability to display the preparation of wonderful dishes has yet to disappoint. This time I didn't get as much as usual however I did get their Miso Soup, Spring Rolls and Basil Duck with white rice. Miso Soup - this simple dish is easy to make and just as easy to ruin. These guys have this one down its straightforward and has a nice brothy flavor. Spring Roll - Always extremely Krispy and served with a semisweet spicy red sauce. It leave a nice and spicy tang, best of all the fillings taste fresh. Basil Duck - This dish had a nice balance of heat and salty flavors and had a nice earthy tone to it. The duck was excellent, its skin was seared Krispy to perfection. It stayed Krisp still while mixed in with the sauce which speaks volumes. The white rise was Al Dente steamed with no extra seasoning. I do highly recommend this place for Parties, Sushi and its variety of authentic dishes. Honorable mention: Tonkotsu Ramen, I did not know this was on the menu originally because it isn't listed. It is only on the little table pamphlets, my cousin ordered it and after seeing It; I know what I'll be getting next time!

Nickeled & Dimed (Actually, Dollared!) Mrs. Fussbudget & I have been to Kata many times with good experiences as indoor diners. So recently we decided to try carry out for a change of pace. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. First of all, portion sizes are substantially smaller in the carry out versions. We know because we have ordered the exact same items as indoor diners and left with "go boxes" because of the generous portions. However, portion size is substantially smaller as carry out. Secondly, (and this one is a Big Fussbudget No No), I was UPcharged for ordering NO meat on the spicy noodles and requesting extra onion in place of the meat. Gasp! UPcharged, for exchanging a few onions for the more expensive meat ingredients? Outrageous, egregious, and flabbergastingly unacceptable. Adding insult to injury, ANOTHER UPcharge for brown rice. As if the standard prices are not lofty enough. UGH. On to the food. The seaweed salad: excellent. The Vietnamese crispy rolls: excellent. The main dishes of extra UPcharged spicy noodles and chicken red curry: 3 out of 5 stars at best, possible 2 stars when factoring in overall value calculation of UPcharge & portion size. Moral of the story: dine indoors, and skip the carry out.

In me and my fiances' journey for new sushi experiences, we stumbled upon Kata. The restaurant's pristine appearance and attracting food aroma immediately drew us in. Quickly seated, we eagerly ordered a Jelly Shot, Crab Rangoons, and a California Roll. The Jelly Shot, a fascinating blend, surprised us but an unexpected olive was in our drink I'm guessing- a quirky twist in a super sweet fruity drink? Moving on to the Crab Rangoons and California roll, we found them lacking a distinctive taste or freshness. Undeterred, we decided to explore more flavors, opting for a Super Crunch Roll and a Beef Teriyaki entree with rice. Unfortunately, neither dish managed to wow us; both fell a bit flat in terms of taste and freshness compared to our experiences at other sushi places. However, it wasn't all disappointment - our waitress proved to be exceptionally accommodating, contributing to an overall pleasant dining experience. While the food may not have become our favorite, Kata left us with a mix of intriguing surprises.

Terrible experience today!!! Let me just start off by saying ,As I came in to dine in there was about two people dining in. Won my waitress That’s the name she gave me I’m not 100% sure if that’s her name because she didn’t have a name tag on, Told me that I was Only allowed to sit at a table and not a booth because I’m by myself? Remind you, I’ve never had this problem before! I’m spending over $20 I should be able to sit wherever I want to sit especially when there was only two people dying in with seats of 11 tables available. I then had to sit at the table and wait about 10 minutes before she could even walk back up to me. Previous I ordered here before and they put peanuts in my padi and I’m allergic to peanuts! At this point, I’m just over this place the customer service from her was terrible. I wish I had another waitress. Won Looks so serious in the face she doesn’t even say she says what do you need to drink? Rude! My waitress did not smile at me, one time, but smiled at everybody else. I observed her the whole time sad to say, but that’s the world that we’re living in now. So not only at the end of my service was the food salty this time, but the lady gave me $80.89 Instead of $82.89 I gave her $100.00 bill and my meal cost $17.11!!! I will never return again not only did they try my education level, but they were trying to steal two dollars. I don’t care if it was a penny my thing is how do you have workers that work here that doesn’t know how to count? Terrible experience. I could’ve spoke with Somebody who owns this place or higher Management! Around this time of the year Christmas Eve I was going to leave a $80 tip but because I wasn’t even greeted properly a smile, How was the food , NOTHING they got 0.00 dollars from me as a tip. Here’s a picture below where they gave me $80.89! Than...

My husband and I had terrible service at lunch today. We arrived almost at closing time, and the hostess warned us about this but said they would assist us. Everything ok until then! When our waitress Gigi came to take our order, my husband asked her if we could also order dessert afterwards. And she said no, we would need to order it with the food and they would also bring it with the food. So my husband asked if it was ice cream, if it would also come with the food, and Gigi said that if it was just the ice cream it wouldn't be a problem, we could order it later! So we did. We finished eating our Ramen (which wasn't that much of a Ramen, because even Ajitama didn't come with the Ramen, and when I asked if she could add a simple boiled egg, she said they didn't have any) …anyway, we finished our lunch and then my husband asked another attendant who was passing by, about the ice cream flavors and placed the order with the flavor he wanted. By that time in addition to our table, there were 2 other tables that were still finishing lunch. But then the waitress Gigi came to the table saying that she couldn't even serve the ice cream anymore because they needed to close the restaurant. My husband questioned her because she had said before that we could order ice cream and now she didn't want to serve it anymore, she just said it again that they had to close. If this girl had been open-minded about business she wouldn't have made her boss lose a family of 6 as customers, because if she had been kind and cordial and offered for us to take dessert home, we would have understood and readily accepted! But unfortunately the terrible service and lack of cordiality will mean we will never return!...
