Played the day before fall overseeding, and was surprised by decent conditions despite them drying the course out. Greens were in good shape, fairways wide and forgiving. My playing partner is a beginner and only lost four balls. Compared to other course in the metro, if you’re willing to drive a little bit to the periphery, this is a good value course. Started was as nice as could be, water and food cart was available on course. Plenty of interesting desert holes with topographic change that bring long vistas and reminds you of where you are in the world. Trainer jets (F-35’s?) flying overhead the whole round a major distraction for a serious golfer wanting to ‘get away from it all’ or trying to stay in the zone. Course is in a new development area of the fast, growing Buckeye, near masterplanned communities but not directly adjacent to many holes. A few bloated mansions with very bad taste are sprinkled around the course in the foothills. Bar and restaurant were enjoyable with good service and food for a course on the outskirts. Eat here rather than going into the nearby town or small strip of places by I-10 (Cheeseburgers and Beer chain down the hill is disgusting despite being new).

18-hole course is challenging and well maintained. There are no 9-hole options to pick but you can always pay for 18 and leave at 9. Prices vary during the seasons, but is pricy during the peak golfing season. The beverage options before playing and the cart girl are not very good. You have to go inside a bar to get a drink, but are not allowed to get alcohol unless you take it in a plastic to-go cup, which is not a great way to keep drinks cold in AZ. The Cart Girl rarely comes around, you will probably only see her once during your 18-holes, so be sure to stock up the first time. No snack shack either. For an expensive course, there should be better drink service options. Water jugs are placed around to refill water bottles. Truly it’s the golfing services that have been giving this place a 3.5/5. Better services at different courses, all depends what you want.

I played this course a year ago and really didn't care for it but this year the course was looking a lot better, the greens were holding so well and those buzzards were waiting for me to die from the heat. Restaurant was great as well.

I mean WOW... This course easily takes the #1 spot on best courses I have ever played. The views are unbeatable, the fairways are perfectly maintained, even the rough was shorter than some other courses fairways I have played. The only thing that needed some work were the green however I did go at the end of March and not in the winter. Pace of play was perfect, never felt like we were being rushed or rushing the group ahead of us.

The carts they give you are very nice as well with a GPS map of the course above and plenty of shelving / storage space available to put drinks / extra balls / phone / wallet / etc.

Driving range was in amazing shape and the view there was amazing as well.

They have a ranger drive you to the first tee and give you the speech of the course, what to watch out for and a little description of the trickier holes.

The cart path was paved and no obnoxious bumps or cracks in the path caused for a smooth drive from hole 1 to hole 18.

The staff was amazing and super friendly as well. I would 100% recommend this to anyone that wants more of a desert /...
