   Read moreAm usually very happy with home Depot, this time though we went to get a riding lawnmower about 6 that evening was a clearance riding lawnmower that they said had been sitting in the back which finally started working so great filled up and got ready for morning woke up to find gas drops in truck bed and on driveway figured maybe a loose hose but come to find out all gas we put in was in oil and carborator. So called Lowe's to let them know we were bringing back and explain a little of what was going on the lady on the other end said well why did u buy if u were having problems starting so told her we were told we could bring back if a problem. As we are waiting from about 8-10 in the morning you could tell they were talking about it in a not so discreet way about are we supposed to get a refund because it was clearance or used all I can say to that is we paid almost $1500 for it and what happened to 30 day guarantee. There was a lady by the name of Amanda in service area that was doing stuff and talking and not letting me know what was going on, my suggestion is let the customer know what is going on so we can get more at ease the problem is being solved I felt like I had to dig everything out of them at the end of asked if we were going to get some kind of discount because of the 2hr wait and all the problems we did get $50 lowered on our new mower. Thought we were done but nope come to find out when we got to the other side of town the filter to new riding lawnmower is more asking so came back got back to house and was to big so called and came back again Amanda said that it was supposed to fit I told her but it did not she said well off same mower I told her it did not then I had to still wait a while finally went outside with Emilee who was saying that it should fit was same mower I said d bit did not was a thumb size to long she went and checked along with me and was a different rider with filter on the side not in front under a cover she said oh I said see finally got this thing done made sure I compared before I left the store this time.    Read moreSimilar experience to Jess Mealer's. Ordered a range, was given a delivery date of August 3rd and HD would call on the 2nd to confirm. Never was called so we called HD. Was rescheduled to August 18th. Delivery truck arrived and the range was unloaded. The technician was using a cordless driver to tighten to nuts when he was attaching the power cord. AS I WATCHED, IT SEEMED LIKE OVERKILL, AND IT WAS. He twisted the size 8 or 10 (or 5 mm) bolt off. So back to HD the range went. HD rescheduled delivery for Sept 3rd with HD to call to confirm on Sept 2nd before 7 pm. Didn't get a call so we called them at 6:50 pm and were told that they rescheduled delivery to Sept 15th (but they didn't call us). The second and third scheduled deliveries I drove 300 miles round trip to meet HD, and took 2 days out of my schedule. VERY FRUSTRATING. I've been a HD customer for years, but will have to re-consider who I give my business to in the future. UPDATE: Changed delivery location to the store....surely that can't be messed up. Well, they did, they did not call the day before the delivery then texted the morning of the delivery with less than an hour's notice. Checked with the store, they confirmed the delivery would be to the store....well they attempted delivery to the house. AFTER 4 ATTEMPTS WE GAVE UP ON HOME DEPOT AND CANCELLED THE ORDER. Found a local, independent dealer that will fill the order AND WE ARE GETTING IT FOR $80 LESS THAN HOME DEPOT and the other big box store.
