To the owner of this franchise: After speaking with you on March 27th 2025, I didn’t appreciate being accused and called a liar to my face about a Google review. You no longer have to go down a rabbit hole investigating because this is my account and this account I control! I HAVE NEVER IN ALL MY 38 YEARS OF LIVING BEEN SPOKEN TO THE WAY YOU SPOKE TO ME TODAY! AS LONG AS I LIVE I WILL CONTINUE TO THRIVE AS AN AFRICAN AMERICAN WOMAN AND WILL NOT EVER ALLOW ANYONE TO DISCRIMINATE AGAINST ME BECAUSE OF MY COLOR! Who better to leave a review than someone that’s their everyday and sees everything that goes on. Since working here I have been treated very ugly by management almost everyday that I’ve been there. After the first day of training I discovered that I was the only person there of African American descent. After a month of being treating very ugly and unfair I then made a complaint to the manager when the issue arose that I feel they’re racist. They didn’t treat anyone else the way they treated me. Once the complaint was brought to the manager that was working that day I then asked to go home because I was too upset and it was definitely going to interfere with my job as providing customer service. I had a bad feeling about going back but I went against my intuition and went to work like I do everyday. Little to no surprise I wasn’t even there 5 minutes before the owner was contacting me on the business phone. From the initial call he was very rude, demeaning, and very belittling. He didn’t even address the issue at hand. He then brought up a Google review and accused me of writing a review incriminating his business. The review stated that the general manager was caught one day before closing going to his personal vehicle pouring liquor from a big jug into a Togo cup filled with ice. He stated that he did research and after researching he knew without a shadow of a doubt that I posted the review. He spoke to me very ugly and like a child on the phone. He stated “ he was going to give me a second chance and allow me to work today with a positive attitude and the review must be taken down immediately.” I was flabbergasted at the way he spoke to me and accused me of such! For starters, I didn’t post a review and I haven’t done anything to be given a second chance. I was an ideal role model employee just like I am at any business that I work at and shouldn’t be treated nor talked to in such manner. The review that was posted wasn’t a lie. The general manager of this business goes to his personal vehicle several times throughout the day with the exception of the weekend and pours liquor in a styrofoam cup over ice. He does this everyday several times a day! This whole business is a joke! With the general manager drinking, running out of food everyday, and the food taking 45 minutes after ordering this business will not be successful! I have never done anything to the owners for him to talk to me the way he did over the phone. The issue about them discriminating against me was never even discussed. I was really confused as to how the managers being discriminative towards me went to me “posting a review”. He treated me as if I was dirt under his shoe and treated me very inhumane. I’ve witnessed him handle a situation with a person not African American and they were almost in tears emphasizing and sympathizing with the employee. The managers and the owners of this establishment are indeed RACIST!!! Whomever reads this review please take heed! I am posting this review so everyone can be aware! His only concern is making money and not the welfare of his employees. Unfortunately, they lost a very good employee. I will never allow anyone to speak to me like that. “You continue to bus those tables to hurry up and sit another guest that’s going to be upset after waiting 45 minutes for their food! Do you understand me and have I made myself clear? Hopefully with this review you have learned one thing; don’t ever speak to someone the way you spoke to me. I know I have made myself very clear through...

Do NOT go on your lunch break unless you order ahead!! The host who seated me was great! My waitress on the other hand was... present... just not anywhere near me. She gave me my menu and I waited 10 minutes while she SAT at a table talking with a couple eating their food. After finally placing my order she was behind the bar on her cell phone while I waited 25 minutes for my food. Not sure how she was keeping track of her other customers or when the food would be ready unless she has telekinesis. I was there alone and watched as other attentive waitresses brought food to their customers who had arrived after me. I was completely out of time by the time my food arrived and had to head back to work. My ticket says my waitress' name begins with an "I" and that is all I'll say because I'm not a total monster. Waitress aside, I'd recommend this restaurant because the food was superb once I was finally able to eat it!! The other staff looked very motivated and busy so I won't judge the establishment based on one unmotivated employee. The fried chicken sandwich, fries, and a soft drink, minus the tip, cost $20.87. Go...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Toasted Yolk Café in Victoria, Texas, and it was an exceptional experience. The service was prompt and attentive, and the food was both delicious and generously portioned. Arriving around 9:00 AM, the restaurant was bustling, but we were seated after a brief 3-minute wait. The menu offers a variety of breakfast and brunch options, all made from scratch daily with locally sourced ingredients, including eggs, bacon, and biscuits.

For those with dietary restrictions, The Toasted Yolk Café is accommodating; they have a dedicated fryer for fries, ensuring a gluten-free experience. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful, making it a reliable choice for those with gluten sensitivities.

Overall, The Toasted Yolk Café in Victoria provides a delightful dining experience with excellent service, hearty portions, and a welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend it for your next breakfast or...

Actual silverware. Actual cloth napkins. Fried banana peppers with cholula ranch were great. Just a little oily at the end, a bit of parchment at the bottom could resolve that, no problem. Patty melt with fries. Standard patty melt, good but not crazy good . Fries were standard cut, rather salty, but in a good way. Fried chicken sandwich with tomato basil soup. The soup was fantastic. Nice tomato flavor. Croutons added flavor and texture and weren't bread shaped rocks. This sandwich came with a bbq ranch that was absolutely phenomenal. I would add the sauce to any sandwich here. Both came with claussen style pickle spears The wait staff seems to help every other server, and it's appreciated as, while they were busy, we got served, and the table cleared quickly. The store desperately needs blinds, it's very bright if you're facing outwardly.

The Toasted Yolk offers a solid breakfast experience with all the classic staples you’d expect—generous portions, quality ingredients, and a price tag to match. One standout feature is the full bar, ready to serve up breakfast cocktails. It’s reminiscent of those Vegas spots where you can get a drink with your eggs any time of day, but Texas blue laws still put a damper on that here. Since it's newly opened, the space is bright and spotless, with an attentive staff keeping things running smoothly. One thing to note: don't expect many combo meal options, which means the cost can add up quickly. If you're looking for a spot to enjoy a boozy brunch with a solid breakfast, The Toasted Yolk fits the bill—just be ready to pay for it. They do have specials on drinks and certain menu items.

This was our first time visiting, and everything was absolutely AMAZING! From the quick service to the delicious food and drinks, the entire experience was top-notch. Our bartender, Bella, was attentive, knowledgeable, and brought such a fun energy to the place. The owners, Georgia and her husband Sparrow, were equally fantastic. Georgia was behind the bar, not only helping out but also polishing glassware and checking in on guests. We had a lovely conversation with her, and it was clear she genuinely cares about the experience. Sparrow was equally hands-on, going around and bussing tables with a smile. It’s rare to see such kind, engaged, and involved owners, especially at restaurants in Victoria. We’ll definitely be back!
