Happy to see that wearing masks were being enforced and stores were limiting customers for safety. I'm sad seeing some stores go, but right now a lot of stores have good sales going on. Hot Topic was amazing at limiting customers, even if just one at a time seems a bit over the top. 2 would be ideal. Gamestop had good deals and were super helpful! Right now they're limiting 5 customers at a time, which is nice. The store is smaller than Hot Topic so I feel 3-4 would be best, but it beats trying to shop at HT... by yourself. I also went into Bath & Body. 6ft (2m) was enforced nicely, they were super helpful with what I needed and I got a body spray for only $3 when it's regularly 15. Most things were 50%-75% off! If you need something from there, now is a great time to go!
The overall mall seemed well maintained and clean. The people in Sprint and the phone case store weren't wearing masks, so I wasn't inclined to stay long. It's super depressing to see the movie theater looking permanently closed, even though that's the most logical thing right now. The eating area was full and busy, I didn't go that way but I'm immunocomprimsed and have anxiety, so that was the only reason. Overall a great experience and handling the pandemic rather well. Make sure to bring your own hand sanitizer and sanitize things after you leave considering you're touching things others have. Ie: products and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreA decent shopping mall that features a good food court with pizza, Chinese takeout, giant pretzels, fast food, and more (including a Chick-fil-A). Music and movie shops are now obsolete (because of changes in technology), but there's a great cinema with 2D and 3D features. There are video game shops like GameStop, high-end bookstores like Books-a-Million, a used toys & collectibles shop, some random shops like Spencer's and Party City, and lots of sports shops and clothing stores. There's a J.C. Penney's and a Sears, but the latter is going out of business and is currently selling everything at rock-bottom prices.
There are public restrooms in two different locations in the mall. There's plenty of parking, of course, and seating in the food court for shoppers to rest.
The prices in the mall are typically on the high end unless you happen upon a special sale or purchase memberships in select stores. Just about anything you can find here can be purchased at Wal-Mart or Target for a fraction of the price, so I rarely shop at the mall anymore. As malls go in this day and age, this one's decent; but not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis mall has a wide variety of stores appealing to all sorts of tastes and interests, with a sizable portion being clothing stores. Though I don't shop here as frequently as I used to when they had FYE here, I still come by every now and again to see what's new, window shop or to look for job applications. The mall is not very large compared to malls in larger cities (you can walk from JCPenney's to Sears in under ten minutes) but has stores and restaurants outside as well. They do have kiosks up during the holidays, my only gripe being the salesmen can be a little persistent with their sales. They do bring in stores nobody seems to ask for but everyone seems to shop at; Party City is a fine example of this. They also have a theatre, a small arcade and an assortment of restaurants inside the building. There are bathrooms near the theatre and between Spencer's and Champs; depending on when you shop, I'd recommend the bathroom by Spencer's because the ones by the food court get busy very fast. I can't recommend one store or restaurant because everyone's tastes and interests...
