I normally don't write reviews, but I ALWAYS read them. In this case, I felt I needed to take the time to write about my experience at this US Cellular store (the one out in front of Sam's Club & Walmart in Kenosha/Somers). I went in to get a phone for my 11 year old son as he was entering Middle School. Jayden helped us pick out a phone & decide what plan to get. I had to rush out afterwards as we had a lot going on that night. The next day, when my son and I tried setting up his Apple ID, it kept wanting to use mine. -- I drove back to see if Jayden could help me set it up and without hesitation he said 'absolutely' with a big smile on his face. -- He helped us set it all up in no time. I then went there a couple days later b/c my daughters ipod (2017 - last year they made them I guess) was having issues -- once again, Jayden tried to help us.... but then got tied up with a customer. Next, Vanessa (store manager) stepped in to help us -- so friendly and awesome. She tried for some time to help us fix the problems we were having even though we didn't get the ipod there (fyi, for those that don't know.... the 2017 ipod allows you to facetime & make calls). After not being able to figure it out, Vanessa had us leave it there and tried working on it the next day. Ultimately, she couldn't find a solution but gave me the guidance of calling Apple Support as a last resort. All in all, they were both great. I am so exhausted with having poor customer service on the regular..... to have this kind of experience with them trying to help us when they didn't need to was refreshing. I will tell people to go there -- great staff goes a LONG...
Read moreI switched from Spectrum to this, I brought a phone that I was told was going to be an even trade for the one I got from US cellular. I specifically asked if I was going to be stuck in a contract and I was told no by the guys who helped me. I had had nothing but problems with this phone, it constantly says SOS or NO SERVICE. I went in to have it checked out and find out about leaving and now I’m being told that if I leave before the phone is paid off I have to pay several hundred dollars. They stole my phone and now I’m stuck paying for basically no service. The manager at the store checked their cell towers and told me that my work was surrounded by them and she didn’t know why I had no service. Do not recommend the provider and seeing as how I was lied to and tricked into this contract even though they took my phone I’m thinking some people there only care about the sale and not the customer. The very day I am able to leave without giving them this shitty phone back or more money I will switch.
Little update 4 months later, I still have not gotten the issue resolved and since I brought up the fact that they haven’t even offered me a credit in the 2 years I’ve been paying to not have the service, the last customer service guy finally gave me a credit of $20 off my bill for 2 years of paying for a service I’m...
Read moreFantastic customer service, I went in on a Tuesday, an hour before close. I needed a line and a new phone, they put the rest of their effort into expediting this for me, effortlessly with kindness. They had me on my way, new phone and service within 40minutes. Throughout the contracts I had some issues that led me to believe I may not be able walking out with a new phone, they made sure that was not the case. Going above and beyond job duties.
