This place is such a gem! My husband and I have become regulars. The food is fresh and flavorful, and the staff is friendly and attentive. There have many vegetarian options, and some for vegans, too! Thereās something here for everyone to enjoy.
The Mushroom Pappardelle pasta (pictured) is my husbandās favorite pasta dish not only from this restaurant, but probably ever. I love their new Pasta Palomino. Weāve enjoyed every single pizza weāve tried, but his fav is the Wild Mushroom, and I think mine is the Sausage Pesto (sans sausageāIām plant-based!). Their pesto sauce is really something special. Salads are fresh and generously-portioned.
The San Marzano tomato sauce that comes with the Angioletti app is probably the best Iāve ever had. The angioletti are fluffy, pillowy, and a perfect vehicle for that incredible sauce. The Burrata app is delicious, too, and the wood-fired bread itās served on is always cooked to perfection.
They have so many great dessert options, but their cannoli cake is the stuff of dreams. Light, well-balanced, and not too sweet, with perfectly-toasted, crushed pistachios. Itās been my birthday cake for two years in a row now š„° Their traditional cannoli dessert is everything you could want it to be, too. Yum!
I see people having business meetings here, couples on dates, and families with children eating their cute Mickey Mouse-shaped pizzas off the childrenās menu. Complementary bread is served when their dinner menu starts at 4pm. They have lots of great specials, a full bar with fun cocktails, and Happy Hour deals, too. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible with push-button automatic doors and disabled parking. They play music at a reasonable volume, making for easy conversation. The lighting is cozy, especially in the evenings. The owner seems to really care about the staff (Did you catch the news segment featuring their Team Appreciation Days, when they give 100% of sales to the staff?), which makes me feel good about visiting Oakfire so frequently. Give this place a try, itās sure to become your new favorite Italian...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy wife and I went to this place because she wanted some Italian and most of the places out here don't open until 4pm. Well, upon arrival the inside of the building and the atmosphere is nice. Open, you don't feel too crowded. The waitress took out drink order where I got a mimosa which was basically champagne with a dash of orange juice. I'm unsure what their usual mimosa customer is here but I prefer to taste the orange juice as well.
The service was fine. Nothing to write home about not good, not bad, just forgetful really. The one thing though that was hilarious is after we got our calamari it was rubber and I told her she can take it and I said "they over cooked it" and she said " yea probably " I was like well, this is probably not the first time they've heard that and she has little faith in the cooks (i don't blame her)
Our regular meal was the 4 cheese ravioli vodka that my wife got which she said was really good, just wished there was more ravioli and I got some sort of sandwich which was dry and relatively bland.
Lastly we went and ordered dessert and got the Nutella Calpine which ended up being and complete and total catastrophe. Not only did part of it taste burnt, in the middle it was so doughy that we couldn't cut through it and we were trying to literally saw it apart with the butter knife.
I would never, ever recommend anyone go here that I know and I will never be going back. I hope this was just a fluke and a bad day for someone, but it was a completely un-enjoyable experience. Next time, we will wait until 4pm for the real italian places to open... lesson learned. Good luck to those of you who have made it this far, hopefully your time here won't be as...

The fake plants feel unnecessary, and the space would benefit from Italian fixtures, art, and photography. Italian or Italian-American music would also help create the right mood.
For food, I started with the bruschetta. Unfortunately, it was toasted in the oven, which made it more like a crostini. Bruschetta should be grilled for proper flavor and texture. The tomatoes also need olive oil, salt, pepper, and better seasonings. You shouldnāt use the end parts of the tomatoes. It should be nice, clean cuts. I also ordered prosciutto, which i assume is di parma, should be sliced per order, not pre sliced. Presentation matters here as well.
Condiment containers need care. The salt and pepper shakers were sticky, and the olive oil and cheese were not filled, which leaves a poor impression.
The Margherita pizza was goodāno complaints overallābut a bit more seasoning and basil would elevate it even further.
The biggest issue, however, was management and service. I donāt blame the staff; the real problem is the lack of leadership. The owner or manager needs to step in, guide the team, and set higher standards for professionalism. There should be a manager on the floor eyeing the tables making sure everythingās in order and greeting everyone. As a result, it makes the place feel more welcoming.
Overall, I give this place a 5/10. With better management, authentic Italian atmosphere, and attention to detail in the kitchen, it could truly become something special.
Grazie, ciao,...
