757Dance — Local services in Virginia Beach

I had my daughter's sweet 16 brunch at 757 dance new location on July 7th and also hired them for my daughter's dance lessons for her and her court's Spanish dance routine for an event my daughter was having the day before. Regina (the owner) was simply amazing and smoothly handled any issues I encountered with planning a two-day event. On the day of the event the caterer that I hired on my own that is NOT affiliated with the venue never showed up. Regina scrambled with me and helped me get coffee and bagels for my guest as we waited for my caterer. We had the venue until 1pm and when the time came she let us stay at the Venue and extended my time there free of charge as I continued to wait for my caterer (no venue will ever do that). I’ve never written a bad review as I hate to say anything negative about a local business. However, our experience with the salsa class tonight was rather shocking. The owner seemingly high-jacked the class from the teacher, talking over her and unnecessarily contradicting her teaching and correcting her english in a manner that seemed disrespectful to the women. I don’t think anyone was having trouble understanding her. The owner’s interjections made the class extremely confusing for the majority of the time. If the owner would let the poor girl teach her class it could have been an great class with direction and order, but the micromanagement and lack of unity took away any chance this class had of being great. Regina Rose has been the most amazing instructor. Even from just the first session I could see how good of a teacher she is, adapting to how each of us learn. My fiancé and I wanted to take lessons to have a very memorable first dance at our wedding. With me working second shift and him working first shift and having evening classes, our schedule is a mess- but she was consistently flexible and we got several good lessons in. On top of us learning a lot she even recommended a DJ to us and got us a deal with them too. I would recommend Regina to anyone and everyone I hear asking about dance lessons...
