Delicious eats with a wide variety of options in their menu (I’ve attached photos of the menu in this review for reference)! We’re so excited for Taz to open in Waco and tried out their food during their soft opening - so they were still working out some areas in service. Beyond that the food was really flavorful!
Their menu is packed with delicious vegetarian and vegan choices and they have dosas too (crispy, savory South Indian crepes that come with stuffings)! We loved trying out both the onion pakora and non-veg and veg thali, which came with a colorful spread: biryani, naan, raita, daal, several flavorful curries, and a sweet gulab jamun dessert. The thali is a great option if you want to try a large variety of items and is good to share for two people.
Please note: Their curries (outside of the chicken tikka masala) definitely had a more medium to hot spice level to start off so if you need mild you can request it but we definitely thought it was on the spicier level (which we enjoy)!
Even more exciting — they’re launching an Indian lunch buffet soon! Weekday buffet starts at just $16.99, and they’ll have a weekend option too.
If you’re craving authentic Indian flavors or want to try something new, definitely check them out soon! We can’t...
Read moreWe tried various appetizers, including the chicken 65, samosas, chicken Manchurian, and the chicken lolipops. Our family enjoyed every one, including our picky eaters. The heat level on the chicken 65 was perfect. Between us we tried the lamb vindaloo, some of the indo dishes, and my favorite, Navratan Kurma. The naan and roti were spot on. My mom loved the mango custard salad. I was surprised I did as well as I'm not a mango fan. We all tried Gulab Jamun. My only complaint is it lacked that cardamom flavor I love but it was still tasty. The service was great. They were attentive and patient with our large party. Overall it was a...
Read moreWe just learned about this place today, and I love that there's another choice for Indian food in town. Apparently this is a chain? I've seen others talking about the one in another town, but I have no experience with any but this one.
Anyway, rambling aside, the food was delicious. In terms of spice, it was perfect for my boyfriend. I have almost no spice tolerance, so it was right on the borderline for me, yet still enjoyable.
The interior was also REALLY nice. Don't let the run-down shopping center fool you. This is a genuinely great place, the staff were super nice, and when the parents come to visit, we'll definitely be...
