I only needed a few months membership for summer. I called to ask if something like this would be possible, and the manager lady explained Method has a three-month student program specifically for this matter! How convenient is that? Once I arrived to sign up, she was very thorough explaining the student membership limits. I appreciated the clarity a lot. Overall it's a big venue. Main floor has most the free weights and upstairs has cardio, a fake grass stretch area, the group classroom, and a few more weight machines. Despite the high foot traffic, the staff keeps the place very clean. There's sometimes a machine or two out of order or squeaking, but given how many people a day they get (hundreds?), I'm impressed with that upkeep. The bathrooms are great. I usually went around noon and it was mildly busy to not very busy. I hear around 5PM is when it picks up. Lastly, I loved the friendly customer service. On my last day today I ordered a smoothie. I subbed the juice for almond milk and the girl was thoughtful enough to ask if I'd like to add honey to keep the sweetness. She had also helped me troubleshoot the other day after the app's new launch gave me technical issues. W wavy blonde girl employee!!! Thanks for all your help this...
Read moreWell, I went to Method Gym, Waldorf, MD Saturday to attend a Strong Nation 1-hour workout with my wife. Great Strong Nation session led by Terri! However, since I'm not a member of Method Gym, I paid for a one-day pass. The one-day pass is now $20 (up from previous $10). $20 for a day pass is very concerning. Fortunately, I am blessed financially and $20 will not break the bank, but this $20 cost for a one day pass could impact individuals within the greater community that would like to pursue a healthier lifestyle/choices. Method Gym should reconsider its price for a day pass, to accommodate those that can only attend the gym periodically (not economical for a membership), or just not financially practical to pay for a membership. Yes, those that find this unaffordable can always go to Planet Fitness for $10...but for those that prefer MG, I think we should make it a little more affordable. Thanks again for the great workout Saturday, and any consideration you may give to the cost of a...
Read moreThere are some good changes, and some bad. The good changes are the updates to some of the equipment, and some of the things offered. The bad is the influx of randoms that never used to come here when it was Waldorf Fitness, and the change of hours which really impacted the night owls and the ones putting in the late night hours. Overall it’s still a good gym. The day it starts becoming more like a “club” and less like a sanctuary for the people trying to make positive changes to themselves, is the day a lot of people will change the gym they call their home. Hopefully it can still remain that Waldorf community fitness center that everyone had become...
