Ivory & Veil Bridal — Local services in Wall Township

As a bridal makeup artist, I have seen hundreds of dresses and felt that when it was my time to get engaged and in my “dress search” I would know exactly what I wanted, one stop and it would be a instant decision…. Well that didn’t go as planned. While I went to some of the most beautiful boutiques, I wasn’t having the feeling that I always thought I would have. My search continued from my first store with my mom and step mother. I appreciated going, but it wasn’t me. My second store was with my mom and my sister. Every dress again was beautiful, I just couldn’t picture it. Went to a third store, I was getting exhausted and figured well, lululemons and a cute baggy top it is!! One of my friends invited my mother to an opening of a brand new bridal boutique in Wall, NJ names Aisle and Veil. My mom FaceTimed me from the event and it was in that moment I knew, THIS IS THE PLACE. I quickly made my appointment for my next day off (and their next availability). From the moment I stepped into the store, Amanda greeted me as if I was a family member. Her attentiveness and her knowledge in EVERYTHING allowed me to place my trust in her. I picked a few gowns and she picked a gown. I tried on a couple of what I picked and she asked me to try on the dress she chose for me. She listened to my every word. Not just about the dress but about my wedding, my background, what we have planned for the day, and most importantly that I wanted to feel like me and be comfortable. The moment the dress she chose for me was on, I sobbed. THIS WAS MY DRESS. Amanda made me feel like a bride. In that 90 minutes I went from indecisive to a bride… an Aisle and Veil bride. I write this review as a thank you to Amanda. My daughter had an appointment last night. Not only was the visit a success, but I heard such wonderful things about this beautiful shop and the attention given. It seems Amanda has a unique way of crafting a plan after listening closely to the bride to be. My daughter was exposed to dresses that were not on her original list. To me, this is the difference between simply trying on dresses at a shop, or working with a true professional with expertise, patience and a caring personality. She worked hard to create that magical moment when you look in the mirror and are overcome with emotion, knowing this is the dress you want to be wearing on that special day. My fiancée and I felt pretty anxious about dress shopping as two LGBTQ+ brides, but Ivory & Veil completely changed that for us! From the moment we read their statement about celebrating all identities and backgrounds, we felt safe, welcome, and excited to start the process. This was our one and only appointment, and we both found our dream dresses. Amanda and Maddie were absolutely amazing! They are so talented at what they do and made the entire experience fun, relaxed, and truly special for everyone involved. While my fiancée found her dress quickly, I struggled a bit, but they were endlessly patient and never once made me feel rushed. They stuck with me until we found the perfect dress, and I cannot thank them enough! The shop itself is gorgeous and our whole entourage had the best time.
