To say this place was the worst motel I have ever had the displeasure of staying in is an understatement. You could not PAY ME to stay here again. We got 2 rooms, each of them were $500 for one night. In the first room, there was an unbearable smoky smell like a chain smoker had lived there for 10 years. I had a feeling that if I slept there overnight, I would develop lung cancer from the second hand smoke. Which was ironic, because there was a no smoking sign. There was chipping walls with stains all over it, the mirrors were super grimy, there was a DENT in the microwave (how does that even happen)?, and the worst part was the FLOOR WAS CARPETED so every time you walked you could feel the squish of the invisible stains. The sink was right next to the doorway, there was no place to hang your clothes, and oh boy the bathroom was even worse. The bathtub was stained pink like pink panther was butchered to death in it, plus there was stains everywhere and there was a hole in the ceiling. The beds were comfy, I suppose, but there were layers of ash, sand, and dirt in the sheets which also felt like they haven’t been washed since last millennia. We ended up returning the smoky room, so six people had the pleasure of sharing a single room. Plus, the children had to wear masks while we slept because of the smell. In conclusion, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not stay here.

Literally the most disgusting experience I’ve ever had. The whole building smells like mold and stale cigarettes even though it says no smoking. This was the only place in the area with available rooms for the night and I can see why. The first room I had, the door handle was covered in tape. The floor felt like I was going to fall through it, like it was flooded and softened. The mold smell was horrible. There was a dirty couch covered in hair and crumbs. There was a light fixture with just a light bulb. The bathroom was filthy. The lights in the bedroom didn’t work. The TV don’t work. The bed had stains and hair and dead bugs. The mattress was definitely infested with bed bugs, I complained and when he showed me another room, it was exactly the same in filth. The bed had no sheets, when I pulled back the blanket, it looked like someone dumped a can of pringles or chips. Absolutely disgusting. You couldn’t PAY ME to stay there. I was charged $350 for 2 nights, and I got a refund. You’re better off sleeping in your car.

Absolutely the worst hotel experience of my life. Doesn't deserve even 1 star. When we checked in, the first room they gave us had mold on the mattress, holes in the walls, bugs in the corners, and even white dripping stains down the front of the TV. To make it worse, the mattress looked like it had bed bugs—completely unacceptable. We asked for a refund, and instead of honoring that, they offered to show us other rooms. Unbelievably, each one they showed us after was even worse than the last. This place is a health hazard. The New Jersey Health Department needs to shut this place down immediately. To top it off, the hotel refused to give us a refund, even though the rooms were so disgusting we couldn’t stay there. If you value your health and safety, DO NOT stay here.

This place needs to be reported to the Board of Health and Condemned. False advertising to the Max! No Pool No Smoking there were cigarette butts all over the place. Shady looking characters lurking around the entrance to the rooms.

We stopped there early around Noon, Biggest mistake !!! We paid cash for a 2 night stay that we reserved in advance with Travelocity. That was the 2nd Biggest Mistake! We went out to a restaurant for lunch . When we got back we saw the condition of the room how disgusting dirty filthy it was! I immediately went back to the front desk and got a refund for the second night stay . He refused to give me the first night stay because he said we were there since we checked in early. This was only at 4:00 when the regular check-in is usually at 3:00. I went out and secured another motel reservation near the Docks & Center of town , for basically the same amount. The Budget Lodge was on the exact same street and a few miles away. They had a very nice Pool and Super clean rooms . We even got to see our room before paying at their Front Desk. Their Front desk personnel were very accommodating.

Return back to Budget Inn & Suites in Wall Township to tell them that we weren't staying at all in this disgusting filthy place and wanted ALL of my money back in full. Called Travelocity back again and made a complaint while I was at the front desk. He refused to talk to the employee in the complaint/ customer service department Travelocity was NO Help after them being the problem of advertising a dump like this in the first place. THE SICK THING IS THAT TRAVELOCITY IS STILL ADVERTISING THIS FALSE INFORMATION. Same False information on other travel sites too .

Lost $105 for that first night stay . I was going to call the Police, but the man seemed to be getting more aggressive and very angry. I felt very unsafe at that point. He didn't speak English at all to the front desk employee.

This was a bad lesson learned and I will never book by using a third party EVER AGAIN.

I am still going to report this dump to the Board of Health myself. I'm going to also notify this Township officials and the Local Police there too.

I just hope this long review helps other Travelers to avoid making the same mistake I made and get money extorted from them too. This happened to us in July of 2023. I also hope Karma catches up with this man at this Dump of a Motel . Shame on...

Outlet boxes hanging out of the walls, filthy carpet, holes in wall and ceiling, shower water doesn't get hot, dead bugs on floor, mattress still in plastic, ice machine broken (and dripping), doors either don't close or don't open, smoke from outlet, door trim loose.||||So when I got there, I noticed the place looked a bit rundown on the outside. Upon entry to my room, I noticed it was filthy. Electrical outlets were falling out of the walls, the shower didn't warm up, the mattresses still had plastic wrap on them. I asked for another room - it was worse but I had concert tickets so I told the mgr we'd stay for one night and he can refund us the difference. Upon returning to the room, I couldn't get in. The keycard appeared to work but the door wouldn't open. I got the night mgr and he was also unsuccessful in opening the door. He called his boss who suggested my 12 year old son climb through the window and try to open the door from the inside. He went around outside my room and opened the (screenless) window from the outside! I climbed in and tried to pull the door while he pushed from outside. The inside handle broke off. After about two hours of messing with the door, the mgr uses a tire iron to pry the door open from the outside. He determines the locking mechanism broke and he proceeds to tape the latch and the striker preventing them from closing. He says for security, I have the chain (attached to a very loose piece of trim) and that there is someone at the front desk monitoring cameras 24/7 (even though he spent the last two hours with me). Exhausted, I moved a chair in front of the door and barely slept at all. The next morning, the day mgr offered to knock $50 off and let me stay in another room for the rest of my original booking. I told him to knock $50 off and we'd be on our way. This was a month ago and I am still strongly considering filing a complaint with the...

^Bedbugs*I needed a place to stay last minute since my daughter was admitted to a nearby hospital. I booked online and when I arrived, the was another guest arguing with the front desk clerk about her reservation. I was provided my room key and drove around back to find a parking spot. I made sure to park near a camera as the vibe of the place was sketchy at best. I walked to my room and noted the debris on the carpet and the general dank atmosphere. There was a terrible perfumed / cleaning smell when I entered the room and noticed the shoddily made beds. One of the beds was crooked to the wall and I listened to the folks in the next room talking as if they were there with me. I walked around the room to check it out and saw the molding around the entrance door appeared to have been forcibly removed or pulled off of the wall previously and then nailed back up. I pulled the sheets back to check for bugs but didn’t see any. I chain and bolt locked the door, stayed in the clothes I arrived in and slept with a light in just in case. I woke up early and showered and headed for the hills. That evening when I returned home, I developed 6 bites on my wrist which itched terribly. I looked it up and indeed, they are BEDBUG BITES. I’m horrified and am glad I immediately washed everything when I brought it home. I would never stay here again and wouldn’t recommend anyone else to, even if...
