I could not have had a better experience working with a business than I had with Andrew at Opdyke Awning. He is thoroughly knowledgeable, personable, creative and honest. I can attest to the last trait, especially, because there was a miscommunication about my fabric choice. When we reviewed how each of us remembered this, he then readily recalled which fabric I had chosen and actually replaced my awning. Truly, I could not have been more impressed with the professional manner in which he handled what could have been a difficult situation. The quality of the work is outstanding with careful attention to detail. The large awning has totally transformed our large deck, turning it into what feels like an extra room. Also, since western sun was a major problem, we debated the need for a rolldown for late afternoon. Not only was there no pressure to encourage me to buy this, but also Andrew suggested that I wait a few weeks and see how hot it gets. Ultimately, I did need it, but I was so pleased that I wasn’t compelled to add something that I didn’t need. Andrew was so very pleasant discussing a major project like this. He patiently took me through his sample books and walked through options of how I could cover our L-shaped deck. Mark at Opdyke did an outstanding job from day one. He is personable, courteous and professional, just as important he really “knows his stuff” about awnings. Mark and the Opdyke Team made several visits to our home make sure the measurements were totally right, the definitely practice the philosophy of “measure twice and cut once”...

I recently bought an awning from a homeowner who had originally bought it from Opdyke. I had planned on installing it myself but when I inquired about getting an installation manual from Opdyke, they suggested that they come out to look at it because I might be interested in having them install it instead. Andrew came out and was so helpful, he came back the next day and had to do some light carpentry in preparing the wall for the unit.
