Went to this Hibachi restaurant because the one we normally go to still does not have indoor dining. My wife and I were craving hibachi and both enjoy the show the chefs put on. When we got there we were told you needed a party of at least 4 to sit at the hibachi table no exceptions. That was a huge bummer. We ended up sitting at a table where we could hear all the fun being had at the hibachi tables. Was very disappointing. On top if that our waitress was the most rude, inconsiderate waitress I think I have ever had. Not even exaggerating. She didn't come over to us for almost 10 minutes(place was not busy at all mind you) and was cold and had the personality of a snail. We had some wine and asked her for an opener. Another 10 minutes later she finally came back with our waters and a wine opener. She then took our order. We ended up just getting some sushi(we would have spent a lot more money at the hibachi table). We finally got our food, and since we were sharing our sushi needed some plates. We had to flag her down to get some plates, and she didn't come back once to check on us or see if we needed anything the rest of the meal. The whole time she made us feel like we were a bother to her. I don't normally write a book like this in a review, but this had to be told. Was an awful experience and we will never go back. Gave 2 stars because the...
Read moreMy girlfriend lives in Spring Lake and she introduced me to this Hibachi Asian Bistro that has now become our favorite place to eat.
Why do we love it so much? It's a combination of both the food and its extremely friendly servers.
While I am not a fan of sushi, there are a lot of great asian dishes to choose from. I generally order the Sesame Chicken that gives you an ample amount of meat coated in a thick, sweet sauce and situated in an edible bowl.
We love the servers who have come to know the both of us since we dine there almost weekly.
I should mention that there was a mistake that was made with my bill where the server accidentally charged my credit card for someone else's meal. Since they use portable credit card chargers at your table, it's a mistake that's bound to happen. I made a phone call to the restaurant when I caught it later that evening and they were very professional about the entire incident and quickly credited my credit card for the mistake. I can't give enough accolades to this restaurant and their staff for the superb level of customer service.
Want to thank everyone at Mizuki Hibachi for making this my favorite place to dine at when I visit my girlfriend...
Read morei order sushi three times a week. I stopped ordering from Mizuki because I was told they would only take online orders even though their online system wasn't functioning that day. I called that day and was told they would not take my order over the phone even though I was a regular customer three times a week. I have since been ordering from another restaurant four times a week. I ordered from Mizuki today because I had a craving for their hot and sour soup which was good but not to come back for. The salmon tartar was delicious as I remembered but the $5.00 delivery charge that did not include a tip was excessive. I have no problem giving an appropriate tip but probably should have used doordash - delivery would have been cheaper. BTW i am N who reviewed a month ago and who was one of their first reviews years ago, with a glowing review when I felt like family - their checking to make sure I got my order by ringing the bell and not leaving until I got it and more importantly willing to take my order over the phone before requiring online orders. Today I requested online that they ring the door bell and it was ignored. Probably won't be coming back...
