Panera Bread — Restaurant in Wall Township

I placed an online order to be ready for 12 pm as this was my break time for work. I received a message that my order was ready for pickup 16 minutes early. I only work a few min away, but by the time I would have gotten to Panera, sat in line, and picked up my order, my food would've been sitting for 25-30 min. The manager was very nice in allowing me to receive my food fresh n just made closer to the 12pm time. So this wasn't a problem anymore. However, the quality of my food was inexcusable. The cheese looked like plastic and I couldn't even open my sandwich bc it was sick together with this gross looking cheese. I ordered 1/2 Kicken Grilled Cheese. I was disappointed. It seems not only does some of the staff not mind making people's orders ahead of the requested time and allow the food to sit there for so long, they do not mind the quality of the food being inedible. It's such a shame. I hope they improve where...

As a DoorDash driver, I had a very unpleasant experience today at the Panera Bread location in Wall. It was a peak hour, and over seven people were waiting in line. I waited 40 minutes for an order that should have already been ready. When I approached the manager and politely asked if they could check on the order, they yelled back that they were busy and that I’d just have to wait—or they could assign the order to another driver.

I thanked them for the poor service, and my dissatisfaction was obvious. Only then did they finally hand me the order. The manager was so rude and unprofessional that they even threatened to try to prevent me from ever picking up an order from this location again. I understand that wait times can be longer during peak hours, but 40 minutes is just unacceptable for an order that should have already been prepared. It's really weird how some establishments have managed to rise above this whole Covid thing. This Panera is NOT one of those places. When I went in there the racks and cases were bare and there was no coffee at all. It was 10:30am! Too early for the racks to be empty and too late for the coffee not to be brewed. The server neglected to tell me, before I ordered coffee, there was only skim milk available. What place, located next door to a supermarket, does not run in the supermarket and get half and half?! I don't know who is running that show. Amateurs! I understand that the business is largely drive through now. Then close the dining room if you are going to look like a cut rate restaurant inside. This particular Panera was always a little quirky, but now it's just sad to see how it has gone downhill inside. All that being said, the drive through is great and moves...
