Princess Maria Diner — Restaurant in Wall Township

I am not a picky person and I'm pretty easy to please. My son and I went to this diner for a bite to eat. From the minute we got there the waitress made us feel like we were an inconvenience. When she came to our table to take our order, I asked if the onion rings were thick or thin. She seemed very annoyed , shrugged her shoulders, and said, "I don't know, medium?" Her face and tone of voice told me she was aggravated. When it was my son's turn to order, apparently he was taking too long (maybe 10 seconds to pick an appetizer). The waitress was facing at an angle away from us as an indication that we were holding her up. Mind you there were only 3 or 4 other tables in the place. I told him to hurry up because she was in a hurry. She said, "yup, a little bit". We ordered nachos but asked for just cheese with the meat salsa and sour cream on the side. There was some confusion but our order was complete. Another waitress brought us our nachos: plain chips with a bowl of meat and another bowl of shredded cheese. We asked if we could get the cheese melted on the chips. This waitress said "ok" but in a VERY condescending way. She yells into the kitchen, "He wants the cheese melted on the chips!!" We then heard a loud response of, "NO WAY!!!" Really? I didn't think we were being difficult at all. We order nachos like this everywhere and they always do it with a smile. By this point we felt so uncomfortable we decided to leave. When I saw the waitress I told her we were leaving because we were made to feel like an inconvenience from the beginning. She then changed her attitude and begged us to sit back down, and that they were just trying to communicate with the kitchen what we wanted. My son and I were so stressed out at this point there was no way we could enjoy a meal there. The manager seemed very nice and apologized. I told him that we are very easy to please and that we always leave a good tip. I have no problem when people make mistakes or things take a little long as long as we are treated in a friendly manner. In all of my 54 years I have never even considered walking out of a restaurant. We felt so unwanted at this diner and were made to feel like we were an annoyance. Awesome steak fries and club sandwiches. I am a huge dinner fan and really enjoy going. I had a turkey dinner entree the other night. The turkey and stuffing was good but the potatoes were small amount and cold and the vegetables were soggy and over cooked and the gravy was very thick. Also the waitress just stop coming and I had to go to the front to pay. Speaking of pay. The prices are ridiculous. At the end of the day they are a dinner not a steak house like longhorns or even millers. They are priced hirer than Kelly’s in Neptune city. For cost they get a huge thumbs down!!

Wasn’t going to respond but since you want to indicate I haven’t accurately done my research. This is just two places that offer meals that one gives you abundantly more than your dish for just under $19.00 and another full course meal that was only $2 more than what you charged me and in my opinion better quality…but this is just mine. This is why they offer reviews. Take your restaurant off google then.

On Easter Sunday I ordered 2 meals to go . As I am recovering from surgery and can't cook or drive to go anywhere. I ordered 2 meals that a friend picked up for me.. I was very disappointed. I paid almost $60 for 2 holiday meals for my son and I and tipped the the person well who prepared my order. Well they forgt most the items and sauces etc for the one meal. So I didn't even eat it. Wound up sharing one turkey meal with my son instead . I called and spoke to the manager. He said I could come back and pick up all the items they forgot for my dinner. But I couldn't drive and it wasn't an option . And the friend who drove all the way there to pick up my food already went home to another town not close by . Ruined our Easter dinner . I think if you pay that much for a to go order they should be more careful and assure the accuracy of the order before sending it out. Just a suggestion. As for the manager I left my name and number he said the owner would contact me regarding this matter but never did...
