I was in the store the afternoon of 6/25/21 when a man verbally attacked the cat adoption lady and one of the store managers. He was raging, making threats, trying to be physically intimidating. From what I heard, it was because his teen daughter was told she couldn't adopt a cat. This man went on and on for over 30 minutes threatening these women and raging at everyone near them including another lady and her daughter who was adopting a kitten. During all of this, both the adoption lady and the manager kept their voices even and did not resort to any of the foolishness that can surface in such encounters. Both of those ladies really kept their cool. It required police intervention to get the man to stop and leave the store. I have no idea why he wasn't arrested! No mask enforcement of patrons. When asking the masked clerk behind the plexiglass, at checkout, he couldn't give a good answer. He said it just didn't seem to matter anymore and no one took it seriously. Maybe store supervisors should ensure their stores are safe, employees are empowered and encouraged to hold Patons accountable when their is still a state wide mask mandate in effect today 2/26/22.

Do not use this store if you are immunocompromised, unvaccinated, care about the health of others or expect staff to hold patrons accountable. We got a goldfish not even a month ago, and then we got an plecostomus to help control the algae in the tank. Yes we cleaned the tank regularly so we didn't really need one but we wanted one. A couple days after we got the new fish our goldfish got sick, both of us have had fish before neither of us has had problems with introducing fish. Our goldfish got Ich which is a type of parasite that's introduced by other fish in contaminated water. We got a medication for our goldfish and separated them. He died.
