WTC Fiber — Local services in Wamego

My apartment complex in Manhattan used these guys to install fiber or cable in our apartment when we were gone. They left the doors not only UNLOCKED, but also CRACKED OPEN. Meaning anyone who could walk past our door would be able to steal tens thousands of dollars of our personal items and hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of research and data from our work.

Our water bill is higher this month because one of them left the toilet running (we have to fully depress to flush without it running or jiggle the handle after) and with the cracked door our electricity bill will be higher since our AC kicked on more frequently.

I had a nice chat with either the manager or owner and while apologetic, it does fix the fact that they encroached on my property and left us feeling violated in our own home.

They need to remedy the situation and not allow this to happen to anyone ever again. I also told our apartment complex that they should not trust outside entities with our safety and security, especially ones that take it for granted....

Service goes out overnight all the time. They give you a runaround about why it is out, how long it’ll be out, or how often it’ll be out. Even scheduled maintenance times do not stick to proposed timetables at all. And they don’t give you any refunds for the lack of service. The only thing they offer is charging you more for service you are already not receiving. Very disreputable company.

Update: Service is out again tonight. I think I’ll just start posting an update every single night it happens. And we can see how many nights out of the year I pay for service that I don’t receive. Company has never assisted with the problem. All they’ve ever done is offered to charge me more for so-called upgrades to fix the problem that have never fixed the problem. They have never offered me a refund or a discount for the repeated loss of service I’ve experienced.

Update as 3/02: Service just went out...

Unprofessional to say the least! 2 weeks ago I called because my front yard and fence has be damaged by their workers. Called and was told they would fix and make it right. Never came or tried to level the ground so I could reseed grass , and for the broken fence, no help on that also. Not even an update or email! 6/4/24 Update. Contractor ( Kenny) , came by, and said the damaged yard and fence will be repaired. Just need some dry weather.6/13/24 Fence fixed, dirt leveled, reseeded small area, I reseeded the large area infront of my house. Not to happy that they didn't reseed the largest area in front of house! August 1,2024...still have mud for a front area! Not going to recommend them...
