I am postpartum with my third child, but this was the first time I actively sought pelvic floor PT. As is common with subsequent pregnancies, everything in my core stretched out faster and larger this time around. Unlike my previous recoveries, my insides felt like complete jello. No position was comfortable, and I had to barrel roll out of bed or off of the couch. I had so much pain in my core and my lower back just from everyday movement. The though of taking a walk seemed impossible, even though just a few weeks after my second child I was walking a mile or two while babywearing. I knew at that point that I had to regain the strength of my core.

I've been with Dr. Soni for almost two months now and my diastastis recti has closed significantly. My core feels strong once again. She approaches PT in a personalized way, changing up exercises each week as progress is being made to build upon the previous week's successes. I am being treated by Dr. Soni for IC, pelvic neuropathic pain and hip pain. Over the past decade and longer, I have been experiencing severe chronic pelvic pain, having tried almost every medical treatment out there and have been to see dozens of physical therapists during this time.
