Turf N Surf Burger Grill — Restaurant in Warren Township

Woman who was expediting food tonight needs to be fired. She has no idea what she is doing. We called for takeout and when we got there 20 minutes later the food was never made. While making us wait 30 minutes for a burger and fries, we watched her give multiple people the wrong orders. Finally we get our food and leave only to be called 2 minutes later telling us to come back because she gave us the wrong order. Except, we were actually given the correct order. She seemed very over her head and out of her depth.

On top of that she was openly nasty to one of the young men employees in front of a restaurant full of customers. This young man seemed to be the only person trying to make things right. I asked for a refund due to the extended wait only to be given $5 in cash when paid on a card because as she shouted to her employee “i dont have time to do it on the computer and you dont have the authorization to help her”. He apologized and honestly I felt bad for him, he was just trying to help and satisfy an unhappy customer.

This place is an absolute disaster. First off, you have to go to the counter and order like it’s a fast food joint, but they’re charging sit-down restaurant prices. No service, no class, just overpriced garbage.

They charge extra for basic toppings like lettuce and tomato—are you kidding me? What’s next, an upcharge for the bun? The burger tasted like a frozen patty that was reheated with zero care, and the sandwich was just sad: cheap meat, bland, dry, and somehow still soggy. I wouldn’t feed it to a stray dog.

The bathroom was straight-up disgusting. Clogged toilet, the stench of raw sewage hitting you in the face when you walk in—it looked like it hadn’t seen a mop in weeks. I legit held my breath the whole time.

To make things worse, a few hours after eating there, my stomach turned on me like I had just eaten expired gas station food. Cramping, nausea, the whole deal. I wouldn’t be surprised if the health department shut this place down tomorrow. How this place have 4+ it’s a SCAM Do. Not. Go. Here. It’s overpriced trash with a side of food poisoning. You’ve...

I hate to give bad reviews to local eateries, but at this point it's deserved. I've been ordering from Turf N Surf for almost 10 years. In the past 2-3 months all of my orders have been messed up. They either forget ingredients (bacon on burgers, sauces, etc.) or forget sides, or give the wrong sides...the list goes on. Normally I would not have issue if it's an isolated incident, but now it's become an issue with every single order. They don't give money back for anything they missed or got wrong (claiming they don't have the ability) which seems ridiculous. They don't make an effort to make it anything they made an error on corrected either. This place is being run by high-school kids that had a revolving door of employees and no one seems to have general management oversight.
