Long review buckle up:
I was on the HUNT for a specific truck in Oregon. 2020-2021 Tundra, forrrr idk less than about $45k. I had three others lined up before this one and they all sold during my 3 hour commute to OR. These guys pulled through for me. The truck is MINT. Fairly priced. Came with a sick steel rolling, locking tonneau cover (probably $3k to purchase aftermarket). Also came with some awesome pneumatic automatic running boards (probably another $1500 aftermarket). It was easy to purchase. Iâd recommend this business to anyone and frankly any car dealership in WA shouldnât even be in business anymore cuz I drove 3 hours south to Oregon and saved $5k in taxâŚ.for $1000 bucks an hour just to drive itâs a no brainer. (Registered it eventually in Alaska which also has no tax. Titus-Will Ford car salesman told me I had to pay WA tax regardless of where the vehicle would be registered. I said peace out. Although Toyota IN Washington waived tax for wife because she was registering in Alaska. I donât know WHO to believe)
Anyways, 4 stars cuz it was easy, and I absolutely love the truck I got, but Iâm gunna knock it a bit here on the âfiner detailsâ. My wife bought an SUV about a week later at a Toyota dealership and she did SIGNIFICANTLY better than me.
I was (super) pressured into the âextended warrantyâ. $4500 added cost. 5 years/50k miles, gold level. I stay up nights regretting buying that on a Toyota with only 50k miles on the engine. Nothing is gunna happen to it. I said no like three different times then the big boss came in the room and worked his magic on me. Props to him I guess, cuz I was initially pretty against it. I feel bad holding it against them, I just canât help the buyers remorse. Itâs my fault not theirs, Iâm an adult, I could have said no thank you. This section is more to highlight my âpersonal experienceâ and not so much knock the dealership.
They use Ally to finance and I think I got like 8% interest on my loan. My wife who again, bought a car about a week later somewhere else got out for 5.7% direct from Toyota. Toyota says âwe sell cars, we arenât a bank. We make money on cars not car loans.â I stay up nights hearing her salesman say this.
The biggest and most petty complaint of all: I left the dealership with 1/4 tank of gas and put a HUNDRED dollars into the tank to get back to Seattle. And AGAIN my wife beat me cuz Toyota made sure she left the dealership with a full tank. So she went 2 for 2 and now I will never hear the end of it.
All in all it was a good experience. I know this review seems to have a lot of mixed messages, but Iâm not gunna talk about how ice cold the water bottle I was offered was, or how my baby loved playing with the blocks in the childrenâs room. Iâd definitely recommend this place, but had my wife bought her Highlander first, I woulda had a different game plan here.
I think the tonneau cover, automatic running boards, and wheels wheels/tires on the truck probably add about $5-6k in value that I donât think I payed for when compared to the KBB of miles and age value without these features. So in SUMMARY, 9/10, highly recommend this business. My complaints are small, I just want others to be enlightened before buying a car that they need to get a full tank of gas, a competitive interest rate, and decide if they want a warranty or not before arriving and stick to that plan, because...
Read moreI purchased my very first vehicle the end of 2019. It's been nothing but trouble since then. I bought a ford focus 2015. I was not informed the vehicle was actively being recalled at the time of the sale for a poorly designed clutch that Ford corporate acknowledges knowing about. Ford has recalled not only the clutch but this model car itself. To be eligible for the vehicle by back you need to show you've had ford replace the bad clutch 4 or more times. Days after initial purchase I already had the focus in a shop being looked at. It was shuddering upon acceleration. Clutch issue. That shop after some back and forth showed me the recall notice they were flagged about on my car. I brought the vehicle back to ford. I wanted out of the contract but they wouldn't allow that. I wasnt even able to drive my new car to work day after purchase as the tires were so unsafely bald that I wouldn't drive it upon seeing it in the daylight next day. Ford did replace my clutch stating it was covered under the warrentee and recall. Fastford just a couple months. Cars shuddering again. I take it back to Ford. This time they acknowledge there is a clutch issue and a clutch shutter but that it isnt severe enough to be covered under the recall yet. So its unsafe just not unsafe enough according to Ford. At this point I start contacting Ford Corporate. They tell me the car is part of a national buy back as the clutch is a know design flaw. However, you have to give Ford the opportunity to fix and replace the clutch multiple times before you are eligible. I fingue ok fine. Itll get bad enough and just be replaced a few times then finally I can be done with this nightmare. So I kept driving and paying for the vehicle and I would just make another inspection appoitment when its shuddering worsens. Keep in mind at this point Ive read up on this car and heard many horror stories of people being stuck in reverse or of the car violently jumping forward at lights. I was nervous driving it at all. Add to this I was traveling 50 mph or so when a part fell off the under side of the dash and landed on my foot while it was depressing the gas pedal. Terrifying!! I still have the part and pics of the part. It's an adapter to connect the code reader to the car itself. Now I've dealt with this car over a year and it still has clutch issues exactly like it did 3 days after purchase. I just brought It back into Astoria Ford today 1/23/2021. This time i was expecting the clutch to finally be bad enough to warrant replacing. No, now Ford says I wasnt in for the clutch last time. No I was in for the transmission according to them. This is not true. I told them it's doing the exact same thing as before. Bad clutch. So now Fords position is I have no more warrentee replacements on this dual panel clutch because it was a one time fix the first time. Well why then did they look at my vehicle now two more times since then at no charge but both times say I would have to pay? How do I ever reach the 4 or more clutch replacement with Ford if they wont do more than one period? Why was none of that said till this visit to Ford.? The tech at Ford today said I was working with R*l before and she no longer works their so they arent responsible for what an ex employee did. This has been a horrid experience and it's my first vehicle purchase. I just want out of this deal or for Ford to actually fix...
Read moreThe dealership sent me this review request- I told them I donât think you want me to honestly review your dealership. But they insisted I do. Iâve Bought two broncos in the last 14 months. Test drove twice on this lot and bought elsewhere for up to 10 thousand dollars less, all while comparing apples to apples! Iâve attempted to trade my existing Bronco in and they offered me 9000 less than I received at another dealership. They wonât honor ford.com -installing of parts -pricing- stated âthey arenât a real Ford dealership like the big guys.â Oil changes are 1.5-2 hours longâŚ. Good grief ! Brought my bronco in for constant electrical issues and warranty issuesâŚnothing was ever fixed, 2 recalls and they canât fix those either and I had to repeatedly return for the same issues, none if them repaired up to the day I sold itâŚCommunications are incredibly difficult and downright rude, website scheduling for service is non existent, rude female service attendant. Ive given my phone number every visit for 14 months and still it is wrong in my account. Iâd change it manually if I could get into my account but the website doesnât work, especially if youâre on the lot!!! Iâve been hung Hung up on, because I âdidnât purchase from them.â I have had my vehicle disappear at a service visit for close to 4.45 hours and found work was being outsourced, I called the local 4x4 company and asked if my Bronco was there and they confirmed and told me when it had left an hour before, when it was finished at line x the girl in service had taken my new bronco to her lunch break. I called her on it when she returned and she bald faced lied!! I usually try to only deal with Chris because although his hands are tied in customer assistance, he cares and is very polite, as is the cashier girl . Update -today- I picked up a previously ordered and paid for part from a nice fellow named Brandon. A man approached me as I was leaving and offered to open the door , I thank him and then I was followed to the parking lot by him; he introduced himself once outside as â Lonâ then proceeded to tell me he had read my 1 star review and I explained Iâd been sent the google review request by one of his employees. He demanded to know which one. All the while Iâm trying to get a 4â box in my bronco in the pouring rain. When I declined to give him a name and offered to explain some of the issues he got louder and cut me off while stating â we no longer want your business here.â I said â well that is rude, perhaps youâd like to know some of the issues to help correct the problems Iâve had here and better your PR?â I also asked if he had seen the multitudes of other 1 star reviews he had for this dealership? He saidâ no need, theyâre all a bunch of yahoos .â I responded that as a critical care and emergency RN I assured him, I wasnât a yahoo and that perhaps I could help him correct some of the problems here if he wanted to listen. Nope he didnât want to listen and told me to never come back they no longer wanted to do business with me! I asked if Dane( the owner ) was aware of what was going on and he said...
