I just don’t understand Plato’s… I understand it’s a used clothing store. I understand the pricing system. I understand they need to make a profit while still selling at affordable prices for the customers. I don’t understand what goes through the minds of the buyers. The items they choose to buy in are absolutely atrocious. The clothes are plain and simple pathetic. They have fading, noticeable stains, loose strings/threading/ fuzzy balls, etc. I brought in a bin and trash bag today full of BRAND NEW clothing. No stains, signs of wear, tags from original designer, and very up to date styles. Brands that young teens- and young adults want that can’t afford at their original retail price. **Aerie, AE. Zara, Free People, SKIMS, H&M, Nike, Athleta, etc., I feel like the employees rush through the bins and randomly pick items to purchase based off of laziness, or how busy there are which isn’t fair to the seller because we obviously want to get rid of the items we’ve brought in and receive the maximum payout. I’m so mind blown as to how the items on the rack were able to even make it onto the floor…this isn’t the first Plato’s I’ve been to that passes up on brand new perfect condition clothing but has the most torn up clothing on their racks. Literally falling apart. They accept Shein…but turn down higher quality clothing like Abercrombie, etc. their system to choosing what to “buy-in” is very flawed and needs to be re-generated asap. *the bin/bag is what I brought in. The clothing on the counter is what they took vs. what they had on their sales floor. If anyone is looking to purchase the rest of my items dm me on instagram @lisamarita

I hate to write a bad review because I know how they can hurt business, but this place really needs a wake up call! I have never had a good experience selling here. They always take forever and rush through. Sometimes my stuff at the bottom of the bag hasn’t even been touched. I recently went by the other day hoping to find some affordable transition clothes for fall. It was extremely overwhelming, as some of the racks are not accessible for us short people. The store is so crammed with stuff it makes it extremely hard to shop. The brands mostly consisted of SHEIN, and other fast fashion brands. There were very few items under $10. The racks contained clothes that shouldn’t have even made it into the rack due to their condition. This experience just sealed the deal to why I won’t come here again. I rather give money to a place that will use it back into the community and not their pocket. I added some pictures of clothes I found like an old style, someone’s damaged dry cleaning, and a clothing sample item…I think.

They had a very cute section organized in the front for the fourth of July. I wish they took appointments to sell clothes though, because we arrived one hour after opening and there was already a 5 hour wait to get my clothes sorted through, and we had come from an hour and a half away to visit this store. Not very many good brands and most of the staff were rude except for a few girls. It was clean though. I wish they organized by brand. Like if they had one rack for Anthropologie and Free People, one rack for Brandy Melville and John Galt, one rack for Shein and Fashion Nova, etc. Also did not appreciate how the bathrooms were locked and I had to go to the front and ask for a key. I understand that it prevents shoplifting, but it was quite awkward. Pretty so-so experience. Some good stuff, but not a ton of options. Might come back.

Plato’s closet Warwick used to be a favorite but unfortunately the three years I’ve watched quality, service, and types of items has gone down. And finally I stopped going. For one Extreme fast fashion has seemed to take over, a lot of clothing is shein or like brands. And while they still do have advertise a lot of name brand brands they hoard them in the back for drops. You can barely find good things on a regular shopping day. They are also started catering to one style- Instagram fashion.I truly miss when the store had EVERYTHING! There was boho, goth pieces, cottagecore, casual, a large variety of styles from different eras. I could invite anyon to join me and we’d all find something in a variety of styles we enjoyed and leave with bags full. Now they are catering to the same modern cliche of the same 3 types of Instagram trends, and those only. Plato’s closet Warwick also HOARDS so much clothing and places it all in storage for specific events. Trying to go on a casual day and find a cute find has been getting harder and harder. I was going once or twice a week for 6 months maybe more and was able to see all these changes. Less and less unique good finds. Because they’re all in the back being “saved” for events. I’m talking rooms filled with boxes, only to put out on their drop events that happen once a season. The staff used to be more pleasant and welcoming. Not all but most have been short, rude, and uncomfortable to be around. I’ve just noticed a downward slope in feeling welcomed into the store. Plenty of times I have looked around the shop and clothes were nasty and dirty. I even reported to the staff an entire section of clothing was wet and getting moldy from pipe dripping on them for who knows how long one time. Plato’s closet Warwick this is a critique to bring variety back. You’re losing a lot of customers. Shake it up, and I hope to return and write a stronger review. Also please stop putting tags on random parts of the clothing. This literally creates holes. I’ve tried returning pieces with holes caused by the tag being placed anywhere but the proper spot on the seem and I’m...

THANK YOU FOR WAISTING MY TIME! I wish I could 0 stars. I am extremely disappointed with this store because every time I bring my clothes to get money back it always ends up being less than $16 when I bring high end never worn cute clothes. I look at the clothes that they are selling and see ugly, stained clothes that I don’t see anyone buying. Also I’ll drive 30 minutes to get there and have to wait two hours minimum for them to sort through my clothes. And yet, today I went and the lady told me I would wait one hour and a half to two hours and that ended up being three hours and they were sorting through peoples clothes who came after me and when I walked back in since I never got a text after three hours the lady said give me 10 minutes. So it only takes 10 minutes to sort through a huge basket of clothes? But it takes three hours for me to wait for you to sort through everyone else’s clothes? My sister came with me and she put hers in after me, yet it was done before mine. And after doing hers they skipped mine and that’s how I waited and extra hour. Also one day we drove another 30 minutes to bring our clothes and the woman said we’re not taking any clothes come back tomorrow so we came back the next day before they opened and as soon as they opened they said no we’re not taking any clothes. So I am done going to the store it is a joke of a store and they need to figure out what good clothes look like and instead of paying people for their ugly clothes they should put them in the trash and actually get common sense. I do not recommend any POC to go there. Every every time my sister and I go there we feel judged and never get any more than $16. They tried giving my sister four dollars for two pairs of $26 worth shein shoes. They also tried giving me nine dollars for a $60/70 pair of old skool vans never worn. Absolutely outrageous. I REPEAT NEVER GO TO PLATOS CLOSET. THEY ONLY SELL UGLY CLOTHES AND GIVE YOU UNREASONABLE MONEY BACK FOR...
