Art of Lash — Local services in Washington

I have been a client of Malin since September 2018 and have been getting eyelash extensions since 2013 in Hawaii, NYC, and DC. I have only gotten (Russian) volume extensions. Malin is unquestionably the BEST artist I have seen in terms of lash application, hygiene, customer service, and aftercare.

Malin's work is exquisite. She creates each volume fan to compliment your eyes shape and accounts for the length, strength, and growth cycle of your lashes. Unlike the other lash artists I have visited, including two well known competitors in DC, I have never felt burning or stinging from Malin's lash glue; nor have I ever felt discomfort from the lash placement. Malin is also quick and efficient, without compromising the design and your comfort. She routinely finishes in less time than my actual appointment.

Malin also maintains very hygienic practices. Before every appointment, she changes the sheet and wipes down the table with medical-grade wipes. She also cleanses her hands with hand sanitizer before putting on gloves and wears a surgical mask while applying lashes. She cleanses your lashes and removes stray extensions prior to the actual applicaton of new extensions. During my last appointment before the DC stay at home order went into effect, Malin gave me a mask and instructed me to sanitize my hands as well.

Malin's customer service is bar none. She promptly responds to my text messages regarding appointment changes and manages to squeeze me in before I leave the city. She also notifies her clients ASAP of upcoming travel plans, so we can adjust our schedules accordingly. A few months ago, I experienced a scheduling snafu. Malin was extremely apologetic (even though she was not to blame 100%). To make up for the double booking (for which I accept at least 50% responsibility), Malin gave me a discount. It was unnecessary but greatly appreciated.

Malin also provides aftercare instructions and demonstrates how to properly cleanse and care for your lashes. She provides extra lash wands applicators after each appointment. The brush and lash cleanser Malin sells are high quality and work well. She has never pressured me into purchasing her products after mentioning them once. I highly recommend using the brush and cleanser to increase retention of your extensions and maintain healthy natural lashes.

Malin is also the kindest, sincerest, most genuine human being. Although I have only known her for a short period of time and only see her once a month, she always remembers our conversations. We always pick up from where we left off.

I have delayed posting a review, because I did not want everyone else discovering my gem of a find in Malin. Small business owners like Malin need and deserve support from those who are able to extend their patronage, especially during economic downturns.

Christina was personable and attentive, she really took the time to get to know me and my beauty habits before she began to work on my brows.
