Enise Jewelry — Local services in Washington

Had what can only be described as an “encounter” with Enise at Eastern Market today. It’s the tent that has pictures of Katie Couric in her jewelry from like, 25 years ago. She’s always been aggressively promoting her jewelry at her stand, but I was really put off by my interactions with her today.

Couldn’t get a straight answer from her about the price of a pair of earrings and add-on pendants. First it was $89, then $139, then she told me it was $89 plus $15 and asked me to do the math? She said she could make slide-on pendents for the hoops but literally couldn’t give me a clear answer about whether she could make them on the spot or whether I’d need to pick them up on a later date. And then was pressuring me to buy the earrings right now and not wait for the pendents. She asked me to text her about the pendent stone I was interested in, which I did on the spot.

Every time someone came over to her tent, Enise would leave me mid-sentence to push her wares on the newcomer. After that happened three times, I wandered away and assumed she’d follow up via text. Nope. Waste of my time as she just wasn’t making sense, but seemed more rude...

Beautiful jewelry line however the customer service was horrendous. The owner was at the World Bank Market this week; given that my lunch time had run out, I greeted her and asked for a business card; my goal had been to visit her website with time and purchase a few pieces; Rather than presenting her business card she yelled at me "what for?" 3 times. Her tone and approach was rather harsh that I was taken aback so I simply walked away. As it turns out minutes later, my colleague was yelled at for touching a jewelry piece that she considered purchasing. Clearly the vendor has a superiority complex. We both got the sense that she presumed that we did not have the means to purchase her pieces; if my money is not good enough for her line, perhaps she should have a store on 5th Avenue. I am simply appalled by her subpar customer service and thus I do not recommend her...

Absolutely loved my jewelry from Enise! Enise was so helpful with guiding me through my purchase because she helped me try-on and pick the perfect piece that fits my style & outfit. The quality exceeded my expectations. She had all the latest designs straight from Italy that are one-of-a-kind pieces that I have not found in other stores.
