NovaCare Rehabilitation - Capitol Hill — Local services in Washington

It actually pains me to give this low of a rating for this organization because the Physical Therapy I received was great and I had a great relationship with my Physical Therapist, its the billing office that will screw you over with this place. Their billing completely took misled me and put me in serious financial hardship, unnecessarily. I wouldn't trust a single thing you are told from them until you confirm with your insurance company (which you should always do anyway, but know that this organization will take advantage of the fact that sometimes you don't and may actually take their word for truth). They are absolutely untrustworthy and have poor business courtesy and professionalism.

UPDATE: Since originally writing this review, I have been back in touch with the billing department of this institution and they have definitely put forth more of an effort to work with me and acknowledge some of the unfavorable billing protocols they practice. I highly recommend NovaCare Rehabilitation on Capital Hill, DC, because I have experienced positive results in a very short time. I am rapidly approaching my seventy-third birthday. I workout most days of the week and have done so for the last forty years - hope to continue for at least the next thirty - that’s years not days. Over the last six months I have experienced severe pain in my lower back that has seriously limited my ability to workout. My MD referred me to NovaCare and the PT (Dionnea) quickly and expertly diagnosed weakness in muscles I didn’t know I had and began therapy. I tried to book PT here after a surgery, but had multiple issues. I had to wait a week for them to check the status of insurance before. They incorrectly checked the insurance eligibility delaying things further. The person that checks these things does not directly work for the facility (series of emails just to find something out). The only appointment they could book for me was 2 more weeks out.

I can't speak to the actual care given, because I ended up going somewhere different. Maybe they're busier than normal at the moment ,but for anything time sensitive, I'd avoid this facility. Overall, this was a really terrible experience for me needing PT...
