Madewell — Local services in Washington

This review is specifically for Brianna at the Georgetown Madewell location - she is the definition of customer service. As a regular Madewell shopper, I have encountered several issues with their system during checkout over the years. Each time I have 1) lost the deal and had to eat the cost and 2) lost time due to the fault in their system. Until today. Brianna navigated the situation with poise and finesse. As soon as the first associate said there was an issue with my gift card, I knew that I again would end up eating the full cost of my clothes. Brianna stepped in and routed the problem through Madewell’s tumultuous and ineffective customer service system. She was dedicated to finding a solution. While Madewell should devout serious time and attention to rectifying their customer service system, they should also fully recognize the true customer service genius that Brianna is. Thank...

Felt very ignored and disregarded while visiting this location for the first time. The door greeter limited people going in due to social distancing for Covid, but when I walked in it seemed like she didn’t even give me a second thought. I picked a handful of items to try, which felt like a wild goose chase finding an open fitting room and being sent upstairs, downstairs. A fitting room attendent didn’t even check in on me the whole time, while I heard them tending to other customers. I put the items away to the side and left with my partner. Maybe they were “too busy?” Maybe it’s a ritzy area and they thought I wasn’t going to buy anything (prejudice)? Highly friendly and helpful staff who manage to do so without being too pushy! I asked about returning an old item that had been worn and they were very receptive and helpful, offering to see if they can fix them and mail them abroad to me as I'll be leaving the area soon. I was even annoyingly slow and the register and they remained friendly as ever! Spoke with numerous staff members and recieved the same treatment and attention from all of them. While I was in the fitting room I asked for just a basic shirt to try on with my jeans and my associate went above and beyond selecting one to match the outfit. Everyone was very knowledgeable about the brand including the other locations and gave me plenty of free codes for free international shipping. Overall top notch...
