I recently entered a Ralph Lauren shop in DC searching for a particular article. I can understand that an article is not carried or if it is unavailable. However the sales person rarely looking me in the eye and negatively responded to any question I may have had. This left me not only disillusioned to the employees training, but his approach to customers as well, I had previously entered the shop a little over a year ago and the same employee had the same attitude but I brushed it off, and was treated only with respect and good humor when I purchased a product. I did not think about that incident until two days ago when I encounter the same employee having the same approach to me. This time I felt my money was underserving, not for the product, but for the employees attitude. My suggestion is to treat every customer politely and equally as if they are humans not if they do it do not intend to purchase, and to always look a persons/ customer in the face and not turn their head while speaking. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have a favorable appreciation for the Ralph Lauren brand; however, my experience at this particular location was subpar. Upon entering the store on a quiet Wednesday morning, I roamed the premises discreetly. While I am open to not being greeted immediately, the apparent dismissive demeanor of the employees was disconcerting. It's plausible that my choice of gym attire was a factor, although shopping right before my workout was unplanned. Nevertheless, as a customer, I expected a level of courtesy.
Observing other patrons receive greetings upon entry, I eventually received acknowledgment after selecting a few items. During my interaction with an associate regarding a sweater, the tailor interrupted, prioritizing another customer. This left me feeling either undervalued or perceived as lacking the status to shop there. Despite making purchases, the overall treatment dissuades my return to this store, and I may even reconsider my association with the Ralph Lauren brand...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAbsolutely horrible and disrespectful staff. I will not ever be coming back here. I legitimately was talking with an associate about purchasing a very expensive watch.
I was taking some pictures of some outfits I liked to see how they could be incorporated into my wardrobe. An extremely rude and abrasive associate said āyou cannot film in the store. You need to stop immediately.ā The associate was beyond disrespectful and condescending in his town. I asked if that policy was posted anywhere, not to defy him, but purely because I was so taken back that I legitimately was curious if there was a sign or something I missed. The rude employee said that itās not posted, itās just their policy. Thatās fine. I respect that. But I do not respect that the associate thought it was appropriate to speak to a customer the way he did.
I purchase a significant amount of PRL. I wonāt ever be going back...
