My husband and I did a scavenger hunt picnic experience, that prepaid for our items. We initially thought this place was charming and the ambiance was sweet so we decided to stay and enjoy our items. I chose one of the tables on the back patio. It took a while for my husband to join me and when he did, he asked me to repeat my drink order. They forgot about our drinks and served us as an after thought, asking my husband, "What are you waiting for?" My husband finally returned with our drinks after reminding the servers. We sat there for a while to solve our next clues and other patrons peeped over toward us. The owner followed behind them a couple times and soon asked us if we were using one of the blue chairs at the table next to us. We denied and she took the chair. We were preparing to leave and the owner returned to ask for the blue chair my husband was sitting on, then stated the blue chairs were for indoor dining as if we brought them out. The patio sets had matching white folding chairs and everything was already there before we sat. There were two other open patio sets next to us, two open cocktail tables inside, an outdoor sofa in the front, and a bar with seating for four. MORE than enough seating for others without destrubing us. She also could have waited for us to leave. Super unwelcoming atmosphere. It's a shame, the drink art was cute, guess we'll find another place. We're probably not their demographic, I'd avoid if...
Read moreEven though I’m not a big coffee or latte person, Café Georgetown had been on my list for its impressive latte art and savory bites. So, on a recent Sunday stroll through Georgetown, I finally stopped by to check it out!
☕ Café Georgetown has a self-ordering kiosk that uses the Rippl app to print custom images on your latte—whether it’s a selfie, your pet, or one of their fun seasonal designs. The process is simple, and the results are almost too pretty to drink!
📍 Located on the corner of Wisconsin & N St., this charming café has both indoor and outdoor seating. It’s cozy, so if you’re visiting during peak hours, expect a bit of a wait—but it’s worth it for a unique coffee experience.
💡 Pro Tip: If you’re customizing your latte via the kiosk, pay attention to the instructions! After uploading your image, a number pops up—make sure to show that number to the barista. I missed that step and ended up with a random seasonal design instead of my custom image. Thankfully, they were super kind and remade it for me once we figured out what happened. Lesson learned!
Whether you’re a coffee or cocktail lover or just looking for a fun and Instagram-worthy drink, Café Georgetown is a great stop while exploring the neighborhood. Have you been? Let me know what you...

OLD REVIEW: I went to Georgetown cafe once before this past time and got a latte simit and both were fine. However this time, I was truly flabbergasted by the food practices. I ordered a croissant (as part of a my own croissant crawl and sampling of croissants in Georgetown-located cafes). The order took a long time - even though the cafe wasn’t full and the server was just handing me a croissant. He asked if I wanted it heated up and I said no but proceeded to heat it up anyway?
The worst part is there were fresh croissants in the case and he handed me a croissant from a box on the counter marked “2/24 Saturday” and it was Sunday 2/25. I was shocked because they were serving day old croissants for $4+ tax while they had fresh ones. I asked the cafe for a refund after I tasted it because it was old - soft and chewy in a bad way and even in the picture it’s obvious the crispy exterior had deflated with moisture overnight.
So maybe the other items are ok but the kitchen nightmares-like practices make me feel icky and the service was...
