I have sent many emails over the last 2 weeks, to Martha's Table regarding the McKenna's Wagon food truck. This is their mobile unit that until recently distributed both hot entrees and cold sandwiches, quite effectively. For some reason however, the food temperature for both hot and cold foods were room temperature and packaged together. This is unusual, considering they had been separated in the past for a very long time and the temperature was safe. I have been very specific in my emails concerning the health risk and even provided photos. The only response I received was asking for more details. I was very clear that HOT food needed to be HOT and COLD-COLD, as they had done for so long. It appears that there has been no change and am concerned it is getting worse. The above information was reported to the Department of Health last week. It appeared to help, however they still haven't addressed the "FOOD EXPIRATION" issue. The photo I provided shows a turkey and cheese sandwich, which I received during the same time concerning food temperatures. The turkey meat had a greenish color and the cheese on the outer edges was hard. Gross right!? Two days ago, I received a granola bar, which was dated 05/21/2019! That's over a year and a half. I think the only thing keeping the bar together was the wrapper. As I bit into the awful -bitter bar, it crumbled to peices. That caused me to look at the wrapper, which showed the date. I would have told them directly -but the food truck didn't show up the next day(yesterday 8/28/2020)!? Since my emails aren't being taken seriously, I am now putting it out here so both people making donations and recipients are aware. These are basic food safety issues and need to be handled, before it becomes...
