When I was thinking of what I wanted for a quick dinner after work, this was not really on my radar. But I wasn’t really in the mood to give my money away to one of the big chains in CH Plaza which I knew would serve me some predictably below average grub. Having tried a few places on this block, I had pretty high expectations given a lot of the reviews.
Let me just say that when I first walked in here, I had no idea what I wanted. It did not help that they didn’t have menu up explaining what they were serving. I also didn’t know the price, which turned out to be a bit more than I expected but still pretty reasonable ($17.90 for a plate and a soda) And given the quality of the food and flavors, totally worth it. So just be prepared to point and ask questions (in Spanish if possible) if you’re new like me. This is the main reason for 4 and not 5 stars. As a new customer, this place wasn’t super approachable, maybe that’s the intention I’m not sure. But I’ll keep coming back.
