I checked out Z Burger & Maman Joon Kitchen, and it was a pretty solid vibe. The chicken sandwich was your typical fast-food joint deal, but it hit the spot. Their z fries were fire, though! Crispy and hot, they kept the crunch going the whole meal. While their classic American fare is solid, the real draw is their Middle Eastern food options. I didn't get a chance to try them this time, but they're definitely on my list for next time. The place was low-key when I arrived, but it picked up steam as dinnertime rolled around. Tasmim, the manager, whipped up a bomb mango kiwi shake that revived me after a long day of travel. The other staff were super chill and friendly, too. The restaurant was clean, and the portions were huge, so it's an excellent spot to grab a bite for money's worth. If you're in the area, definitely check this place out. You won't be disappointed!

Maman Joon / ZBurger has so much to offer depending on my mood. The kebabs are all top notch, the rice is good, and when I’m in the mood for something greasy the burgers and chicken sandwiches have more combinations than I can count. Like many others I was disappointed to hear longtime pizza join Ledo’s would be closing. But I have been really happy with that took its place! I welcome to return of ZBurger to Columbia Heights especially with the addition of Maman Joon. If you’re looking for a recommendation, get the Lamb Kebab, just the right amount of juicy and the salad/rice combo is more food than you’ll ever need! Also the yogurt sauce is a simple yet delicious addition.

Great burger and fries, I'm so glad to have this place in the neighborhood. The burgers are excellent, fries are great, service is also impressive. I was dining in and picking through my fries. The chef must have noticed, he walked up to me with a fresh plate of fries and sauce. He said my fries looked a bit soggy and wanted me taste how their great fries really are. Yes, the fries are excellent. I will mention, place is wildly expensive. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, small fries, and a regular soda, $21.03. Brutal. Also, I'd love to know what the service and packaging fee covers, I dined in?

A Dining Experience Like No Other at Z-Burgar Maman – Thanks to Tasmim and Shabedin!**

From the moment I stepped into Z-Burgar Maman, I knew I was in for something special. The restaurant itself is a gem – impeccably clean, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. But what truly sets this place apart is the outstanding customer service provided by two incredible employees: Tasmim and Shabedin. Their dedication, kindness, and attention to detail have made every visit to Z-Burgar Maman an unforgettable experience.

Let me start by saying that Tasmim and Shabedin are the heart and soul of this restaurant. Every time I walk through the door, they greet me with the warmest smiles and the most genuine hospitality. It’s not just a routine “hello” – it’s a heartfelt welcome that makes you feel like you’re the most important person in the room. Their ability to make every customer feel valued is a rare and beautiful quality, and it’s something I truly appreciate.

Tasmim has an incredible knack for remembering details. Whether it’s my favorite order or a quick chat about how my day is going, she always goes above and beyond to make the experience personal. Her cheerful demeanor and positive energy are contagious, and she has a way of making even the busiest days feel a little brighter. It’s clear that she takes pride in her work and genuinely cares about the people she serves.

Then there’s Shabedin, whose professionalism and attentiveness are second to none. He’s always quick to assist, whether it’s recommending a new menu item or ensuring that everything is perfect with my meal. His calm and friendly presence adds a layer of comfort to the dining experience, and his dedication to providing top-notch service is evident in everything he does. Together, Tasmim and Shabedin make an unbeatable team, and their synergy is a big part of what makes Z-Burgar Maman so special.

And let’s not forget the food – oh, the food! Every bite is a masterpiece, bursting with flavor and made with the freshest ingredients. The burgers are juicy, the fries are perfectly crispy, and the portions are generous. But what makes the food taste even better is knowing that it’s served with so much care and passion by people like Tasmim and Shabedin.

I can’t recommend Z-Burgar Maman enough. If you’re in DC and looking for a place that offers not only amazing food but also an exceptional dining experience, this is the spot. Tasmim and Shabedin are the stars of the show, and their outstanding customer service is a testament to the high standards of this restaurant. They’ve turned me into a loyal customer, and I’m confident they’ll do the same for anyone who walks through the door.

Thank you, Tasmim and Shabedin, for making every visit to Z-Burgar Maman a delight. Your hard work, kindness, and dedication do not go unnoticed. You’ve set the bar incredibly high, and I’m so grateful to have experienced your hospitality. Keep up the amazing work – you’re both truly exceptional!

To anyone reading this: do yourself a favor and visit Z-Burgar Maman. You won’t just leave with a full stomach – you’ll leave with a smile on your face, thanks to Tasmim and Shabedin. They’re the real deal, and they deserve all the praise...

I only rated the food a 4 star because I, myself, think the texture is a bit too harsh for me, and that’s probably with how they mix the burgers. It’s crumbled meat pressed into a patty shape, versus minced or finely chopped and then formed into a patty by hand. It’s bit scratchy in my mouth after a while, but the food reheats well! I’ve only experienced the burger side of this location (they have a Mâmân Doon side as well; chicken, beef, kabobs, falafel etc…)

I live next to the Washington DC Columbia Heights location, newly constructed, and service has always been amazing. Everyone’s nice and friendly. Atmosphere is typical for a fast food place, nothing extraordinary but nothing terrible either. You have to walk in or order because it’s on Irving St, and there’s no parking aside from Target parking or street parking; but it’s right next to the Columbia Heights metro, so easy to get...
