As a loyal Mejuri customer, I’ve had consistently positive experiences at other locations. Unfortunately, the DC store was a huge letdown. On my first visit, the manager misrepresented a topaz ring as a diamond and gave me incorrect pricing. After confirming the correct details online, I returned to buy it but was sold the wrong size.
When I was in New York, the staff there were incredibly kind and had no issue at all with exchanging the ring. They just didn’t have my size in stock and suggested I return to DC to get the right size. This is where the real problem showed. When I went back to DC, the manager’s attitude was completely different. She refused to do the exchange, claimed there were scratches that did not exist, and made it clear she didn’t care about customer loyalty. I was later able to resolve the issue through Mejuri’s online customer service, which proves the manager’s refusal had no valid reason.
What makes this worse is how bad of a salesperson she is. Any skilled manager would recognize a loyal customer, handle the exchange professionally, and turn it into an opportunity for more sales. Instead, she proved she only cares about quick transactions, not building relationships. If she truly cared about her KPIs, she would know my average UPT is always at least a two. Because of her amateur and fake attitude, she lost not only this sale but also my future business.
The New York store had no problem helping me, which just highlights how unprofessional and poorly trained the DC location is.
In short, if you want real customer service, avoid the DC store. Mejuri deserves better representation than a manager this careless and...
Read moreI came into this store after receiving a ring that my cousin purchased from their Canadian location and mailed to me for my birthday. The manager took my ring inside, said it needed to be inspected, and then came back policy says they can’t exchange and shows it to me and then says while inspecting there were scratches and the ring is worn….. yes for 2 hours…… the ring was literally delivered yesterday. I even had the receipt number, but instead of offering any real help, she simply showed me the policy online and said nothing could be done because it was purchased in Canada.
What makes it worse is that the store had the exact same ring in stock, yet they still refused to assist. After spending so much money, I expected better treatment and support, not to be dismissed. And this isn’t even the first purchase I’ve bought gifts for both myself and my cousin from this brand in the past.
