Craving a brick-oven pizza in Georgetown but don't want to wait in a long line at Pizza Paradisco or il Canale and pay $10? 90 Second Pizza's got you covered!
I love how authentic the Neapolitan pizza is and cooks in 90 seconds as it rotates around the oven. I like the variety of toppings and best of all, you don't have to pay extra for them! The staff is really nice and friendly. Although the restaurant isn't VPN certified like il Canale up the block, I'm impressed how the restaurant uses Neapolitan ingredients like 00 flour, San Marzano tomatoes, and an oven that heats up to 900 degrees on a lava stone surface. I appreciate the authenticity of 90 Second Pizza and refreshing not to see another MOD pizza or &pizza on the block.
The pizza was well cooked from the lave stone like a thin flatbread with a nice pillowy crust. It's a generous size and enough to share.
My only complaint is that I wish the Margarita pizza was more traditional with fresh gobs of buffalo cheese rather than a cheese pizza with a few pieces of basil tossed in. I wish there was more basil so each slice could share the love. Given the low price point of $10, I can't expect too many fancy ingredients here.
Overall, I enjoyed the pizza and would come back if I need a quick bite to eat and craving some pizza. Although the eatery is small, there's plenty of...
Read moreLast night we went on a boat ride on the waterfront and watched the sunset over the river. While enjoying an evening stroll we noticed lots of people holding pizza boxes that said 90 second pizza. My husband was intrigued and looked them up. Great reviews and only a 5 minute walk, and each pizza only 10 dollars. Say no more...we embarked on the journey to acquire this 90 second pizza. As we made out way we kept passing groups holding more 90 second pizza boxes so we knew it was going to be great. Well it was more than great. It was an authentic brick oven pizza with 3 Italian speaking pizza artists. So friendly and good vibes. I'm gonna definitely be back!! No cash accepted so make sure you have your credit card. No seating and no long wait times. We took our pizzas back to the waterfront to sit down and enjoy the lights reflecting and bouncing off the river so beautifully. I would like to return soon and order the Arrabiata...
Read moreFirst, the good news: pizza at 90 Second Pizza is a real find! Even if it arrives with a slightly burnt bottom, it remains outstanding. Yes, the bitterness from the burnt crust was there, but the El Pollo pizza showed that truly delicious food can overcome even the smallest flaws.
Now, a bit about the mishaps: our Bianca pizza didn’t quite go as planned. The olives we added brought a flavor that was a mix of mysterious and slightly strange. As they say, there’s no accounting for taste. We tried it, and we didn’t like it. Maybe the olives are great on their own, but in this pizza, they didn’t quite fit.
As for the delivery, it went smoothly: fast and almost delicious. This place will definitely leave you with mixed feelings, because their pizza is worth trying. Even with minor issues, you’ll definitely...
