Pendleton Woolen Mills is synonymous with the Pacific Northwest, a clothing retail business that has been around since I was a little kid. Named after the wonderful City along the Columbia River out on the Gorge on Highway 80 for the city of Pendleton is where this company first began many many years ago producing the highest quality Woolen apparel ever. With that being said the Pendleton Washougal Outlet store is a combination of all things wonderful and good.
Let's start out with the staff and their wonderful customer service. Always extremely helpful and extremely patient it is always a pleasure to ask dumb questions freely because they keep telling me there's no such thing as dumb questions when it comes to Pendleton Woolen apparel. Their men's wool shirts last a lifetime, their outerwear, and those wonderful shirt style jackets are amazing quality. Secondly let's talk about pricing which is ridiculously affordable at this particular outlet store. And unlike the other outlet stores in the Portland metropolitan area this is where the actual Mill that they used to produce the fabric that made all of the wonderful clothing is located so there is a little bit of history but my point is that the area is huge and that means a lot of really cool stuff hanging on the racks.
Thirdly there's a ton of mark down women's clothing and that keeps a smile on the girlfriend. And let me mention it's not all scratchy wool clothing like you might assume, many of their woman items are brushed or softened and are extremely comfortable and they also have additional other styles of clothing that are non wool that carry the Pendleton label and are back by the Pendleton high standard of quality.
Fourth on my list are there fantastic blankets. A large king size wool blanket wood retail for at least $400 and I again want to remind you they last a lifetime. The retail outlet has them in smaller sizes starting around $50. They also sell blems and I was lucky enough to find a king size wool blanket for camping and the blanket is amazing and we bought it as a blem and there was a little tiny Mark in the corner. These people even put a little piece of red tape so you can actually see the blem.
Lastly to find this wonderful Treasure of a store you simply cross over into the state of Washington and get on Highway 14 headed east to Washougal. The minute you get into town look to turn left at the signal light and go one block turn right one block turn right and you are there.
Everybody in this region knows about Pendleton Woolen Mills but if you don't and have never been there I strongly urge you to take a visit before the cold of winter hits us.
PS they also have the most outstanding socks! I almost forgot to...
Read moreThis Pendleton Mill Store in Washougal, Washington is the place to shop for quality clothing and home accessories. When you approach the store front you immediately notice the classic look of this warehouse where outdoor fashion has been created / sold for more than a century.
The store is kept very clean, store associates wore face masks and the inside cash register area has the necessary plastic barriers. As soon as you enter an associate will welcome you to the store and offer to provide you assistance.
Women's, men's and children clothing and accessories are easy to shop throughout the store. Clothing ranges from boots, flannels, t-shirts, local cultural clothing and home accessories.
As you shop be sure to walk to a door that you may think is just fitting rooms, but actually is hallway that takes you further into the building. In this area you may find sample sale pieces, items mis-sized or their cut just being a little off. I found some great blankets, the heavy ones you know will be nice to have on a chilly winter day.
The shop itself has some history throughout, from the wood floors to some older tools used to create fashion in their early days.
Great products, historical atmosphere, helpful associates and very clean. Yes, I recommend you make a shopping trip to this Pendleton Mill Store in...
Read moreFirst time visiting the Pendleton store, in Washougal. Very impressive! The employees are top notch, for customer service, from being greeted upon entry and helping customers with gift options to just answering questions about their products. The store was very clean and well organized and it was not "crowded". The layout of displays gave the store a very nice flow and room to move around. There was also a "loop" video telling about the history of the company, where they get their wool and a brief synopsis of the process from sheep to finished product! Upon asking for a business card, one young man went to the back to retrieve one for me while a young lady, Kassidy (sp?), actually took the time to write down all the information that was on the card. Both, the card and Kassidys note were pocketed, upon departure! Great customer service! This was a great experience and a return trip is definitely in the...
