Sadhna's Saris — Local services in Waterbury

My wife and i needed outfits for a traditional Indian wedding we are going to. We have never worn Indian clothes and had no idea where to buy. Poked around online but, having had a little experience with the Asian sizing schema in the past (my company ordered work shirts from an Indian company and a 6x in their sizing barely fit my manager who in American sizes would have been a regular XL), and knowing i'm a big guy that needs a "plus size", finding something i believed would fit was proving to be difficult. Then we came across Sadhna's. On the pics on their social media i wasn't sure that they would even have men's clothes but we went to look for my wife who was helped into a lovely peach Sari and got all the jewelry to match but, they also helped my big butt into a nice outfit that they custom ordered for me and then tailored to me. Couldn't be happier with the experience and i also know we both look good and appropriate for the traditional wedding we are going to in a few weeks. Can't recommend...

I don’t like to leave negative reviews, but I did not have a great experience at this shop. Tried on lots of outfits, prices seemed to go up as I went through the process. By the time I left just about everything was, “$350”. Also didn’t appreciate some comments about “white people”. My whole purpose for visiting the shop was to learn about Indian culture/customs so I could show respect at a friend’s upcoming wedding, so being insulted for being white, and also the “rolling pricing”, did...

I didn't like this place for a few reasons. First, the jewelry was fake but they wanted such a crazy price for them. If I am gonna spend that amount, it will be for something real. Some/most of the clothes were expensive and not refundable. I didn't feel it necessary to spend so much on something I wasn't sure would fit my daughter and than end up stuck with it when it doesn't.
