Home Depot in Waterford has the best customer service of any Home Depot in the nation. They also have a loss prevention professional who is at the top of the game. When something foul is afoot, this loss prevention legends bursts into action, rounding aisles one eye at a time, running in as closing metal doors unroll toward the ground, even baseball sliding underneath them before they close all the way. Loss prevention like that keeps you and your family safe from high prices that result from theft otherwise. It's a very safe store.
Associates at Home Depot in Waterford are so amazingly friendly and knowledgeable and they often treat you like family from the time you walk in. They love helping me do projects, making suggestions and helping me find stuff. They also make keys, cut blinds, make rip cuts for free on plywood. To be fair, one time they just didn't have what I needed before I left on an assignment for the State Department in El Salvador. I was actually told in that the tranquilizer darts I needed where not in stock here or in any other Home Depot nearby. Can you imagine? So I had to get the yellow color state-issued darts from my contact on a park bench again but I would have preferred getting them from Home Depot directly.
They had the other stuff I needed like survival gear and rappelling ropes and carabiners but when I checked out at the register, even my ID under the El Salvadorian name,, Poncho Perez, did not get me the 10% military discount nor did my removable flash drive tooth after I took it out and showed it at the Pro Desk. When I returned from South America with some success I went back to Home Depot in Waterford and found the Home Improvement products I needed to build my new 300 square foot deck out of pressure treated wood. I used PVC pipes and angle connectors I found in Plumbing to hook up a new jacuzzi.
I sincerely recommend shopping at the Home Depot in Waterford. And while they may not keep certain items in stock useful for causing regime change in foreign countries, they have tens of thousands of amazing and well-organized products, great advice on buying and using them plus free cutting services and the absolute lowest...
Read moreI did put in my views on Home Depot like I said I bought a stole from them won't my son and daughter purchases stole from him and pay this money for the stove stove is beautiful I love it but when we cut it out the box and everything in the rapping we noticed there's only one wreck in the middle of the stove and we noticed that the other RAC is down the bottom where the broiler pan is supposed to be so I called them up in the employ there was like it's nothing you can do but bring it back I said bring the whole big stole back so I said I'm I had it delivered to me because I couldn't bring myself I said so let me speak to a supervisor or manager so he got the supervisor and she's too young lady so I explained to her what was going on and she said okay you need to bring it in I said so you going to tell me the same dumb thing that the employee just told me I said how am I supposed to get it there what am I supposed to rent a U-Haul how am I actually supposed to get this stove back there you just can't order the two parts that's missing out of there I said y'all are the only place that I know of that would ask something dumb of bringing back the whole thing how about sending them back to pick it up because it was not my fault that those things were missing because I didn't pay for the setup $150 the guys was not going to open it so now I don't sign for the stove and everything and I open it up and I find out that the boil a piece is missing for the bottom and the rack is missing yeah they suck I do not like it at all I'm very disappointed with Home Depot and no I still don't have my RAC I still don't have my ball app and my daughter was supposed to call the corporate office for me because I mean come on I paid all this money for this dog and now you don't want me to figure out how to get to stove back to your can give me a brand new one no just get me the two parts that's missing how stupid is that...
Read moreFrist they screw up my Patio door install quote (multiple times), I end up having to do a ton of work to even get the correct number! I ask for even a 10% discount and I'm quickly informed "no, that is what our customers usually do." That is a direct quote from an email I received from them! so they not only lost out on my patio door, they also lost out on my fiancés front door and patio door install (separate house). That totals up to I believe just below $7,000. But they don't seem to care to call us back to even attempt to make it right. Thanks Home Depot for showing me your true colors when it comes to customer service when it REALLY matters.
And the other one... the other huge reason I'm writing this review....I ordered something yesterday morning (shower valve because mine is bad and leaking everywhere), I ordered it for same day delivery which would be super helpful so I can work on tearing it apart in the meantime. The window is 6am-8pm. They never show up. BUT come 1:02am they show up at my fiancés house with the package and deliver it. she is home alone scared out of her mind, the dog is losing his mind, and she almost called the police because our security system shows someone at our door.
I am absolutely furious about this, as you can imagine....
They did a fantastic job in taking my mind off the door messup, I'm not focused on that at all anymore, come 8am I'll be there asking what they're going to do about this? and see who runs the store? Clearly it isn't the manager if things are being allowed to happen by their 3rd party delivery services.
Home Depot I hold YOU responsible for the actions of the people YOU hire to do your deliveries. We will see how you will fix it, or maybe you'll just do what you did with my door install(s)...which is absolutely nothing.
