Starbucks — Restaurant in Waterford

This is a drive thru or mobile pick up window only, attached to a gas station convenience store. No inside seating. This is a recently opened place, but has been open for months. This was my first time there. The service was friendly but after I ordered at the drive through I was asked to go around and park in front and wait because it would be a few minutes for a latte off the menu and they would let me know when it was ready. I understand stuff happens so I parked in front thinking it would be a minute or 2. 10 minutes later, after my friend and I watched several people pick up mobile orders and seeing the staff come to the window within view of me, I went up to the window to ask what was going on. The woman at the pick up window said, "oh we were looking for you" and handed me the late that had been right there cooling in the window. No one had looked for me out the window and I was supposed to stand at the window in February waiting for my coffee, they should have said so. The way they communicated when they asked me to wait, we thought they were going to wave at me out the front pick up window when it was ready. It was very confusing and disappointing. I called this store to recommend some customer service advice as I stood at the walk up window for 9 minutes without being acknowledged. There was 5 employees working and no one seemed to enlighten me that it was a mobile order pick up window only and there was no sign with this information either. Needless to say, if I owned this store I would not be happy with potential paying customers not being treated well, as I refused to spend a dollar when I was there to order a round of drinks.
