Why would I take a photo of my new glasses I just picked up today, and the contacts I've had for a year now and post them? Because there is true Joy in being able to see from every angle in every way. I've always had difficult eyes to fit. I've worn glasses since I was 10; contacts, since I was 16. Over the years I've gone through a string of eye doctors for various reasons (a couple were totally unknowledgeable about contacts; one died; one lost his license; another closed because he was in trouble with the IRS; a couple times I moved out of state), so I have to be honest and say I was a bit skeptical about having to find another eye doctor. That was a year ago, when I decided to try a new business, Wauseon Eye Care, and get a new pair of contacts. Then, this year I decided my scratched-up messed up computer glasses and bifocal glasses had to go, so I went back to get fitted for glasses. Again, I was really skeptical because I haven't had much luck with glasses since I graduated into bifocals. Today I picked those new glasses up — and I was crazy with joy to find that I not only had a great fit, but I could see distance, in-between and reading PERFECTLY. I no longer need another pair of glasses just to use my computer. Now, I can decide whether I want to wear my contacts or glasses, and not have to worry that I won't be able to see as well if I choose the glasses (the eyesight with the contacts is incredible!). So, if you would like a good pair of bifocal contact lenses, or a great pair of multifocal glasses that don't require you owning a second pair of computer glasses, I can happily steer you to this eye care center. Yes, it's in Wauseon, Ohio, but it's worth the drive if you live out of town, as being able to see is a joy on its own. Plus, they didn't even cost as much as I thought they would!

On July 25, 2025, my family and I were visiting the Wauseon, OH area for a local event. We were visiting from Michigan. Unfortunately, my father-in-law fell while we were at a local business. It was a pretty bad fall resulting in an ambulance ride to the ER. His face/head took the brunt of that fall damaging his glasses to the point we seriously questioned if they could be bent back into shape. The lenses were so filthy that I thought they were scratched badly. A quick Google search directed us to Wauseon Eye Care. When I walked in and explained the situation and presented the glasses, the individual at the front desk was so kind and offered to take a look at them to see what she could do. There was no guarantee that they were salvageable but she was going to give it a try. The first picture doesn't even come close to showing how bad the glasses really looked in person!! After a brief while, she came back out to present the glasses to me and they looked as good as new! I was shocked!! I wish I knew this individual's name as I can't thank her enough for her kindness and taking care of me on the spot. My father-in-law was super pleased to have his glasses back and to be able to wear them. Thank you so much ❤️

I had an issue with being told one price out of pocket for both exams on the phone by a newer employee and after our appointment I was told a completely different (way more expensive) price. I was very disappointed because I took time to call around and find the best price instead of paying over $200 at our old Doctors office but the exams were already done so I was going to pay whatever regardless. The employee who had told me the incorrect price on the phone did sincerely apologize.

Almost a week later I received a phone call from the owner John letting me know he just returned from vacation and heard about what happened. He apologized and sympathized with me over his own similar experience with another business. He let me know that anything I paid over the price of the eye exam would be credited back to me which means a lot considering I was just taking it as a lesson and a loss. Beforehand I was not considering being a returning customer but because of the owner going out of his way to give me a call, sympathize and let me know they would be crediting the difference back to me, my husband and I are reconsidering.

The staff and Dr. Fox were very kind and patient during my daughters appointment and time there. She is almost 8 and needing contacts for softball so it took quite a bit of time for her to figure everything out. Jessica was very helpful and...
