I placed an online order at 6:30am to be delivered at 11:20- 11:30am to my sons basketball camp. They had lunch scheduled at 11:30. The camp provided pizza for lunch, but my son cannot eat dairy and toppers has the dairy free cheese and I wanted him to be able to eat pizza with the other campers. I received an order confirmation email when I placed the order and around 11am I received a text about my driver would deliver the pizza a few minutes late and a tracking. Then at 11:30 I received another text that said the order had been canceled and to call the store. The first person I spoke to was nice and said there was a “a glitch” and some online orders were getting canceled. I explained that I live an hour away from the camp and my son does not have anything else for lunch and could they expedite a new order and he said it would be an hour before they could get a pizza to him. Like I said, he was being nice but I felt that a manger might be able to expedite and I was not being rude or loud or anything. I asked to speak with a manager and he said the manager would not be in until 2pm. He said I could speak to someone else, it wasn’t clear to me what position this other person holds but I said ok. When transferred to this other guy, he said the manager would not be in until tomorrow. I started explaining the problem to him and how my son now has no lunch and was there anything he could do to fix this and there was no response. I could hear background noise so I know the call was active, but there was nobody on the line. It sounded as though he sat the phone down (he did not ask me to hold) and let me ramble on to nobody listening and after saying “hello” as loudly as possible for a few minutes and nobody ever coming back to the phone I hung up. I was waiting for someone to come to counter since 1 guy was standing there but walked away when I walked in, no one said a word, no hi, hello or someone will b w you. I patiently waited, looks like a manager standing by table kneading dough? Then I've heard someone said something to her, she stopped, came to counter:" pick up or order?" Then I told her I got call in order & wondering if I can change my deal to other deal. She said I have to wait 15 more min for another order. I asked her since I have a pizza in the oven, can I get one more side for 5.99? She told me she can add other deal to my other pizza but can't change my deal to 5.99 deal becuz they r 2 different deals. I said both deal pizza r same size except 5.99 deal pizza has 2 toppings, I dont care for 2 toppings but can she add 1 side so I can pay 5.99 plus tax? She kept saying no. I asked what the difference between 2 pizza? She wouldn't say but insisted on I should pay for another deal if I want it. I said no since I'm only one eat it. I dont know why she was making it a big deal just to change my meal??? My pizza is dried & lil cheese on it. Read moreTypically I have no issues with this Toppers but tonight I did :-/ I ordered dinner online, like I always do, at 5:55pm. I got my email confirmation stating my pizza was expected to arrive at 6:39pm. At 7:15pm I called the Toppers. The person who answered the phone acted as though I was inconveniencing them. They told me my order hadn’t even gone out yet and that it would be another hour before my pizza arrived but assured me it wouldn’t be cold....I guess we will see. I’m very disappointed by this. They didn’t offer me any money off my order or any future coupons. They told me they only have 2 drivers working, as though it was my problem. I understand they are probably short staffed tonight and that’s not my issue. My issue is the lack of compassion for the fact that I was a paying customer and have already been waiting an hour and half with at least another hour to wait.
UPDATE: My pizza arrived at 7:40pm. The drivers name was Nick! AWESOME!!! My pizza looks like it has been sitting under the heater for awhile which sucks. The kids don’t seem to mind.
