Terrible, filthy service with likely paid FAKE REVIEWS!! Had my chevy worked on 3 times at dashboard by Karl's because they were the cheapest in Sioux falls.
1st visit problems
My vehicle was in perfect working condition. They tried to force unwanted sale ad on items to my stereo install. I wanted a head unit installed with cables for my 2 amps and a capacitor. All high quality power series rockford Fosgate parts 2016.
I paid the fees and labor and I had them install the parts. I put the new sub box in the trunk.
I the dropped the car off early that morning and waited until 5pm for a call. I never got a call so I called them and was told the car was done hours ago,and I asked why they didn't call me to let me know? They told me I should have been called.
So I went to pick the car up. The vehicle had critical failures, no turn signals, no brake lights, and no power seats upon vehicle pick up. I had to wait 1.5 hours for them to explain to me as I watched them diagnose the car that they couldn't figure out what happened.
At 630 i left the shop with no vehicle. The next day I drove the car to billion auto.
2nd visit problems. I came in their shop only to find a rep arguing with another customer.
I was told to take the vehicle back to the billion dealership to see if they could figure it out. I was told the vehicle had a 75 amp main fuse blown by the car audio install people at dashboards. They said there is no possible way that fuse could have been blown by itself. I was told they probably blew it out doing a hasty install. I was billed 128 dollars. I took the bill back to dashboards and they told me that I had to prove it. So I gave them the managers phone number so they would refund me for their mistake. (they finally refunded me 2 weeks after the Ordeal ) they again tried to tack on a 125 dollar item to call it even, I refused and told them that the car audio wires were 45$ dollars in store and they pushed and pushed to not lose money on them damaging the car. Now that I had a working new 75 amp fuse from billion, I had them install the new head unit into my DASHBOARD.
After not receiving a call back since 10am I called at 5pm and they told me my vehicle was done hours ago even after I requested to them in person to call me when the vehicle was complete and ready for pick up.
Stereo was working well and I was happy to have that finally done. No discounts or services were offered.
3rd visit problems Blatant disinformation and more sales.
I had driven the vehicle over to them for inspection because my subs were not working. ( I didn't check to see if the subs had become unplugged or loose before I drove the car in)
I took the same vehicle I had the audio install with in and I was told that they couldn't figure out what was wrong with my system. They told me my 10 Farad RF capacitor went bad and that capacitors are not good in cars and that I should by one of their 300 hundred dollar batteries to replaces with new cables and the works to get my system working again Including labor. Then they told me that the subs were Un hooked in the trunk. So I told them I was not interested in paying any more money.
I picked up the vehicle after a few hours of waiting for a phone call, I then brought the vehicle home to find the sub cables were STILL unhooked from the sub box. I plugged the sub cables back into the box, made sure the power cables to the amps were connected and turned on my stereo to find that everything worked just fine (including the capacitor).
I refuse to do service with these people ever again.
Self explanatory, sloppy vehiclr service with minimal customer empathy, dis-honest customer service, and over driven high...

I took my brand new vehicle to Dashboard by Karl's to put in a sub and replace the two stock front speakers. I get a phone call that evening telling me that everything was installed, but somehow my car wasn't starting, and that they had to bring it to the Ford dealer. I called the dealer a few days after to learn that when installing the sub power cable, the tech drilled through the firewall, blindly apparently, into a large wire bundle on the other side, cutting through, and shorting out a few wires. This blew out a few fuses and three separate modules. It took a while of course to troubleshoot and order the parts. It was in the shop for a week. This was about a month ago. Fast forward a bit... I opened my trunk yesterday and noticed that the amp was in a different spot, because they forgot to bolt it down! Holy moly, I've been driving this car like a mad man and taking corners like crazy... I can't believe the cables are still intact! This all so upsetting because I've done an amp before and know I probably coulda figured this one out, but I thought I'd let the pros take care of my new shiny car for me. Bad move on my part apparently. By the end of it, since owning the car, it was in the shop longer than it was on the road. Full disclosure: They didn't charge me labor and took 10% off the product. The owner, Torin, seemed to know his stuff and he and his staff were obviously rather apologetic and understanding about the whole thing. Their insurance covered the repairs and my rental(minus the rental insurance) for the week. I can't imagine this happens too often or they'd be out of business in no time, but you won't see me doing, or recommending business with...
Read more2024 F350: I originally was going to have a hideaway sub installed by the competition, but due to lack of knowledge by their salesperson... I cancelled. A friend recommended I call Dashboard as I was going to be in town for a business meeting all week. I decided to call. Spoke to TJ on the phone, and he recommended a dual sub set up and explained why. I was hoping not to take up that much room under the seat, but agreed. Upon arrival, they were very professional and answered the rest of my questions. Install went flawless and looks factory. The 4 hour ride home gave me time to reflect on my purchase. Definitely glad I listened to TJ as the system I thought I wanted would not have provided the level of bass I was looking for. His system was right on the money and within my budget. Not window rattling, but enough bass to feel and hear. Cannot wait till break in is over to hear the true potential of the system. It's nice to have some low end that the factory system was missing. Thank you...
