It’s an understatement when I say that this was genuinely the absolute BEST pizza I’ve ever had!! We ordered the Il Capo to go, and holy wow it was magnificent!! The fresh crust was amazing and the sauce is so rich and delicious. I actually can’t find the proper words to describe how good this pizza was. I’ve been looking for authentic New York style pizza since I first moved here from CO last year. I was always disappointed when I would order so called “New York” pizza, and it wasn’t even made in a NY style. THIS PLACE IS SO WORTH THE MONEY!! The 19’’ pizza is HUGE and worth every penny it costs! Don’t be deterred by the high prices, because the price is actually reasonable considering what you get- especially in this economy. Thank you so much PizzaShop for fulfilling my long awaited need for NY pizza! I will be ordering from here every single time I crave an authentic, made by hand pizza! The picture is from after I reheated it in the air fryer since I waited awhile to eat it once my boyfriend arrived home with it. Wow!! A pizza that is THIS DELICIOUS even after being reheated is crazy!!!

I have visited Pizzashop twice now and must say the crust is wonderful overall the taste of the pizza is great. However I wish I could give it five stars but I just personally can’t get over customer service treatment. First visit I was not even acknowledged by a wave or a smile but a simple stare in silence waiting to input my order. As it was my first visit I naturally asked what was recommended and the response was here is our menu. I ordered IL Capo which was very generously portioned with pepperoni which I can’t complain off overall taste of the sauce was delicious , if your unsure what to order I would say this is a good place to start. Second visit also just got a stare as I walked in and someone standing in silence to take my order. My second visit I ordered a pepperoni and sausage pizza and again overall satisfied with taste. However both occasions the dinning area only had but one couple sitting down and all the tables around were dirty with food crumbs left behind. Overall sum up of my review is maybe order for pickup and don’t expect friendliness but just a good tasting pizza.

Finally a real pizza place in town! Been waiting too long. Tried the first week, but they were too busy. 2nd week still super busy. So tried last week and finally was in luck. I called in during off hours mid afternoon for a dinner pickup. They were happy to accommodate my half buffalo/white with extra ricotta request. Freaking tomato allergies...don't even get me started. I got there early and I was surprise to see they had a fresh pizza cutter for my pizza an a note on my ticket about the tomato allergy. IT'S not that serious, but I appreciate the attention to detail. Big dude boxing my pizza with a WU-TANG tattoo was very chill. He called my name, took my payment via card on some handheld unit and sent me on my way so I didn't need to wait on the slice line. I'm a well traveled pizza connoisseur. So I always reheat my takeout pizza at home on a pizza stone. Will def be back here for lunch to grab a few slices right out of the oven.

Two family members and I went Saturday evening before supper rush to grab a quick bite to eat. We walked into the restaurant and looked over the pizzas that they had available to buy by the slice. They had a few classic pizzas, but unfortunately nothing with actual meat on it. We ordered four slices, and drinks. The pizza was between $4 and $5 per slice, including the drinks it would have made for a budget-friendly and quick supper. We were told that the wait time would be 10 minutes. We were not given any cups or instructions. We found cups by the drink machine and helped ourselves. We waited for a while, and the shop slowly started to pick up business. There were only a few people in the restaurant when we arrived. After waiting around 20 minutes, I went up to the counter and asked what had happened with our pizza. I watched as the employee check the oven he had put our pizza in, to find the pizza slices thoroughly burned. There was no explanation given, no apology given, I stood there and watched as they put for more slices into the oven and set a timer. I took my seat and waited once again for my pizza. It was a much shorter time, and we finally got our slices. The overall quality of the pizza was pretty good. The crust, cheese, and sauce of the cheese pizzas that we had were decent. It was a good representation of a Brooklyn slice. It seemed that the restaurant was in a little bit of disarray. Including the bathrooms, it looked like the main part of the restaurant needed cleaning. The four employees that were there seemed to have difficulty keeping up with the stream of people, and while we were there, no attention was paid to the dining room. It didn't seem as though there were set responsibilities for the employees, and there were some hygiene...

I have frequented this place a few times for lunch and the pizza has always been excellent. My wife and kids joined me on one occasion and everyone enjoyed the pizza. We got takeout last night for dinner and it was great. I am not sure if it was slightly undercooked for my preference or perhaps I just prefer the by the slice reheat that seems to have a bit more crispy crust and a better chew than the pizza we brought home. Reheating the leftover slices at home yielded the perfect cook that I get with the by the slice at lunch. We also got some wings to go. They were meaty and the sauce was perfect. They were not cooked to my preference for sure though. There was no crust or crispiness to them at all. I believe this is just the way they do their wings though because I have seen other customers eat them at lunch and I had taken notice of the cook on them previously. You may wonder why I would try them knowing this. Well, toss those extra saucy wings in the air fryer at 400 for 10 minutes. Do a couple of shakes along the way and you have amazing wings! I do have a preference for a bit of char on things like crust and wings, so these are just my preference comments. The food here is excellent and I believe a good value. Disregard the negative reviews from their early days when the place first opened. I have read a lot of the old reviews and believe they are well beyond the learning phase of a new shop and now practice...

Edit: DO NOT sleep on this place! I was in the area and they have a 2 slice and drink combo for $9! Im stuffed, its freakin delish, filling, super tasty and satisfying! This pizza is so legit, nothing even comes close to them! Edit: Here is the big problem, SD doesnt know great pizza. The crust should be crisp on the bottom and charred, but Im told people complain about that, here. Shame. So much flavor in the char. They will make it "well done," if you ask and so, I suggest that you do! It willbe delectable!

My only complaint is its pretty cold in there to dine in Winter. The door is right into the restaurant. We come up from Canton, so dine in, is a must. As a girl from New Haven, CT I was raised on amazing pizza. These guys have a terrific sauce, a beautiful, chew of a dough, their mootz (mozzarella) is excellent quality. They are generous with their toppings and their prices are very, very reasonable.

Edit: update, last visit was much better. They had Red Hot Chili Peppers playing and thr two guys working, were rocking their job! We loved it!!!

Edit: we've been here more than a dozen times, now. I order with the exact specifications our family likes and they listen and do it! We sure appreciate that, because they are hands down, the best, most authentic pizza place in Sioux Falls, probably in all the Midwest. Try then and tell me I'm not...
